when you have less the 2 sec. that is what you get. Your analysis is an opinion. Sam was hit constantly and sacked 4 times... what do you expect. As for AG, I sent a note to CJ today telling him he got exactly what we thought about him... same bad conservative play calling that was exhibited in Miami.
Exactly. And anyone who doesn't think that's precisely what Buffalo came into town to do doesn't understand what goes on during the weeks between the games.
Shades of a Terry Bridgewater thread . . . I think Teddy starts all 16 games...(Merged) I think Teddy starts all 16 games...(Merged) I think Teddy starts all 16 games...(Merged) I think Teddy starts all 16 games...(Merged) I think Teddy starts all 16 games...(Merged) I think Teddy starts all 16 games...(Merged)
It's our new super-duper offense where we pass the ball behind the line of scrimmage. We've noticed that our receivers are more likely to be open...
Well it worked well in Miami. They were dynamic, players were happy, the QB progressed. Makes sense that we are trying to be a carbon copy.
It's part of the plan to reduce interceptions. Because if a backward pass is intercepted, it counts as a fumble. Innovative!
That aspect is already working. Sam had 0 ints. yesterday. The true beauty of this cutting edge offense is reflected in Quincy Enuwas' stats yesterday. Personally I'd like to see more negative yardage...but it's a new approach designed to give our defense more time to give up positive yardage. It's balanced in that regard.
I'm totally pissed at the results. From my view point, we can beat the same drum all day long. But unless we have a line that can protect the QB for a few precious seconds you can forget second reads and planning around it. A good set of LB like Buffalo will eat the roll out or screen time after time Good defenses will destroy this team. 99 yards over 16 catches by the slot receiver was admirable considering the total lack of fucking protection and down field separation. Buffalo D was thru the OL in less than two freaking seconds. I don't feel this is a trust issue with Sam, although he was rattled more than normal. This is about an OL that did not take one freaking snap in preseason together, are not good enough for this team to be successful, nor protect Sam from getting killed. Our receivers are not to the caliber than can help this situation either. Q was a ghost. Gase, like him or hate him, inherited a total patched up POS line with not time nor talent left this year to fix it. MAC fucked this up over the course of his tenure and now we will pay dearly once again. At least Gase was smart enough to see the idiocy on day one and got that sorry excuse of a GM fired, unfortunately one draft too late. I just love it how some people think is easy to fix a shit OL performance by adjusting the game plan. Not against a good defense you wont. Yet, with all the shortcomings, if we had the kicker we should have kept, this game was over by the end of the third quarter. Not quite ready to crucify Gase for this one. I'm more than ready to say CJ screwed us by not firing Mac before the draft. Now, we will need a draft or two before Gase is on the hot seat.
Its almost like nobody noticed before yesterday the Jets OL sucked, the CBs were garbage and they had no kicker.
Brook noticed Champ only got 5 letters right in Darnold's name and he bought season tickets. Go figure.
This: I am as old as Champ but thank my lucky stars I got to witness our 1 and only SB with the Greatest QB of his time Now ...let's get back to the moaning and groaning
