How is it false. Back it up with data. We play when he’s ready and clearly gives us the chance to win. This is not Sanchez where we don’t have any options. We might have 2 qbs other then the rookie that we can with. Our number one priority is to win as many games as possible this season is not just about getting darnold experience. Of course if we are 3-7 and both QBs have played then it’s time to get the kid in. But until we play the qb that can win the most games. We are not in tank mode anymore. It’s time to win some damm games. I am sick of losing
3-7 is just around the corner.. baring some miracle I mean how much can you expect from Teddy?? And how much do you expect from old man McGown.????..Throw some crappy gametime decisions by Toilet Bowles...and the deck is stacked against us Teddy will be the comeback story of the year...but can he do it?? I foresee Darnold getting his feet wet
The performance of the O line in TC has to factor in here, also... no way i want Darnold or Bridgewater taking a pounding behind a porous O-line .
I disagree with your statement that 3-7 is around the corner and it would take a miracle to be better. I can see this team being 5-5 after 10 games easily. Forget the qb lets just say whoever it is they will play ok. This teams talent level is so much better then last year and we had only one Qb. Are you in a bad mood or not really a jet fan. How can you say these things with the great off season we had. I figure we are a year away from the playoffs but Iam putting the Jets in the top 20 in the NFL at this point. Did you flashback to 2017 because that was then this is now
I expect the Jets to be better this year, but only a game or two better in won-loss. I expect noticeably worse QB play - McCown had a career year, which by definition means he is very unlikely to match it, Bridgewater is coming off a severe injury and basically hasn't played in two years, and Darnold is a rookie. Crowell should be a clear upgrade over Forte. Everyone assumes that the OL will be much better with Johnson gone, but Long is nothing special, especially with injury concerns. The secondary should be very good, but the front seven is highly questionable, and it's certainly not clear that Williamson will play better than Davis did last year. Even if Shepherd turns out to be a steal he's a rookie who played Division II football. They'd better hope that Santos comes back from missing almost the entire season with injury or their kicking could be a disaster. I completely agree with you that this year there is no question that the Jets should just try to win games, at least until it's clear that they can't make the playoffs. I'm not saying that will be by game 10 for sure, but it also won't shock me if that's the case.
I have major concerns with the OL and our lack of pass rush but dee will be better because of secondary and LB depth. Like our RB’s and our WR’s who I think being judged incorrectly. Totally agree with your Mccown assesment, just like FItz, career year. But. Teddy, I want this dude before the jets signed him. He looks healthy and is highly motivated. I believe he’s gonna be the starter and if healthy will be a major upgrade at QB and I will not be suprised if we are in playoff contention entering DEcember. Our head coach is a horrible game day manager and that will not change.
Nothing at all to do with mood...just a murderous schedule and a crappy Coach...you question about how I am a Fan??? Have you stuck around this dumpster fire for 50 years sonny?? You reference a great offseason ...sure everything great (ON PAPER) after Sam and Tremain it's ALL A BIG question mark..for all of the rest... eg a 3rd round Beast Shepard who hopes to make it in the NFL...please don't tell me you ready to wager the Jets go with 5 wins after 10 with games legal sports better ahahahahaha Let's just say "whoever it is at QB " plays Ok ..how do you know that for sure? We are at top 20 team ? Where do you see that...??? THIS IS ALL SPECULATION Shepard and Teddy comprise a Xmas wish list for you ...yep I get it But here is reality: Lions and Stanford...Maybe a chance Dolphins Divisional Rival..who has Bowles beat lately? Prob Loss Game 3 Browns I would say maybe a chance but I think Mayfield is too good Game 4Jags Made it to Playoffs Loss Game 5Broncos Two Defensive Ends who mean business .. Not Winning Game 6Colts Maybe 7Vikings There's a loss 8Bears Maybe 9Dolphins Maybe 10Bills I think we lose 11 Pats Sorry 12 Titans Playoff team Loss 13 bills Meh..Dunno 14 Texans Doubt it 15 Packers Oh well 16 pats Cya TBH I give the team 5 possible wins ..no matter who is at QB...with Bowles at Coach cut that # to 3 Like Goff , it will be a learning year for Sam..and hopefully like the LA situation our coach is booted for some young offensive genius...2019 will be better because of THAT
Stopped reading at the bolded part, after everything said you still think Mayfield will have usurped Taylor by games week 13 ?
Talk about speculation. Predicting 16 games!!! Come on seriously 3 games. I am a long time fan also but geez glass half empty or what. Let’s hope I am right and you r wrong and leave it at that
This was on Twitter & was sent by Joe Banner who works I think for the Eagles It is just amazing that none of the QB needy teams signed Bridgewater as a 2 who could compete to be a 1. Huge missed opportunity. A number of teams that will regret that. I’m told he has looked outstanding. This will be a different version of Dion Lewis if he stays healthy.
Between “Terry” and the completely unforeseen, unheard of champ positivity, I have no idea where I am or what’s happening.
Well this is certainly something you don't see everyday. I really hope he wins the starting job and allows Darnold to watch a competent qb at work.
