I'm happy with giving away the Seattle deal plus an additional 2nd rounder (or Sam). Effectively it's a player trade.
so who was player a??? @Footballgod214 the mac jones thing will be fascinating one way or another... also https://forums.theganggreen.com/thr...-jones-trask-lance.94961/page-65#post-4037438
This tweet was liked by the guy who posted the NY Post backpage which Watson liked. That sentence is just stupid, but it's also what I've suspected the whole time.
#2 overall pick this year One of the 1st round picks in 2022 2022 2nd round pick 2023 1st round pick Sam Darnold Jets would still have a 1st round pick this year, and another one next season. In 2023, you figure the Jets should be deep contending - so that 1st rounder will be late anyway. If Houston still says no, then I move on.
I'd give up more than 3 firsts but not much more. Something like 3 firsts and Darnold or 3 firsts and the equivalent of what we can get by trading Darnold.
It was also calculated. Watson knows what he is doing. It's a signal to the Jets, but also can be covered up that he meant nothing by it. Smart move by him.
A rebuild year coming off a 13-3 campaign with Favre, and expanded by having a 1200 yard rusher and two thousand yard receivers along with a veteran defense lead by Charles Wolfson? C'mon man. If you want to make that argument 1) you're grasping because that Packers team was ready to win with a lot of veterans and 2) you can make the same argument for this year's Texans.
The first player is Rodgers. He won a Super Bowl and will likely (IMO) go to another this year. There can be a symbiotic relationship between big passing numbers and wins. Not always of course.
Can you even imagine if we went 0-16, had Trevor Lawrence in our sights, the Deshawn Watson comes along?
This is not something that happens often in this league. I would give up all three first rounds for him. This is franchise altering if you can land him in a trade.
We could probably trade for Rogers with less than you want to give up for Watson. Didn't Green Bay use a first round pick on a QB last year?
And if that doesn't work, throw in Sam Darnold for good measure. Would love to get rid of that train wreck lol
