The Ravens have been under .500 eight times in 27 seasons since their inception. No doubt that Lamar was spectacular that season but he’s a far faster athlete than Fields in terms of short field burst and quick twitch and came out with a lot more experience throwing the rock (450+ more collegiate attempts). To expect Fields, let alone any QB to duplicate that regular season, is ridiculous.
^ Awww...boo-hoo Brutus....lmao. .. ^ This is the definition of an emotional OSU ballwasher who dick rides any and everything that comes out of Columbus. . And you're about as funny as Art Schlichter serving as pitch man for Draft Kings. Here's how much you know about QBs...and about football in general vvv: https://forums.theganggreen.com/thr...u-take-kyler-murray.91696/page-3#post-3798223 You: "Haskins was the best QB Ohio State has had in a very long time. I think he is going to do some really amazing things in the NFL." A simple search of 'Haskins' and your user handle yields a slew of OSU ball-washing paeans and you have every right to litter this board with your Brutus ballwashing. . Just don't attempt it on my dime. . Me? I love Ryan Day; think the world of him and his play-calling abilities. JT Stroud? Hope he does well. Garrett Wilson? . Top shelf. . U You? "Has nothing to do with it being my favorite school!" @barfolomew: above are two diametrically opposing viewpoints in which you gave 'likes' to both. . So what's with the 'likes'? . Confusion? . Schizophrenia? . Both? .
Correction: W.C. Fields averaged a whopping 12.8 * completions a game in 2022. . Sit down 2nd year Dan Marino! *source: Pro-Football-Reference.com "Why my little chickadee? . Because he sucks, that's why!"
This was literally the dumbest post I think I've ever read. At the time. Haskins was the best QB OSU had, had. At the time. Did you really think that was going to upset me? I'm laughing at how God awful this attempt was. My small quote about Haskins dude? That's your home run, got em moment? Cool. Have a good one. Ya got me. Sigh.
If you can blurt out such an absolute assessment (considering the tens of thousands of posts exhibited on this board) you are obviously hurting. Again, note the emotionally charged other posts of yours in this thread as well. That said, do keep up the brave front ....hahaha...
Columbus? Absolutely. btw, nice school: https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/c-pistol/ https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/c-rifle/
Who did these rankings? I haven't watched every game of other teams, but it is hard to imagine ANY OLine in the League being worse than ours.
https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/2022-nfl-offensive-line-rankings-by-positional-unit/ We were ranked 20th going into the season. But injuries likely put us near the bottom as the season went on. Ranking lines always become subjective at some point.
Can you put up some links to some mid season or end of season rankings? Putting up pre-season rankings for 2022 is beyond useless
Its not useless to rank a unit based on their talent but its not the final story. You can go to PFF: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-offensive-line-rankings-week-18-2022 I don't pay for their details and they only show the top teams. They had GB 3rd for what its worth. I don't agree with many of PFF ranking metrics.
We can agree to disagree about reflecting on preseason rankings after a season is done. Here’s the Jets on the link you provided for anyone who can’t see beyond the paywall 31. NEW YORK JETS (NO CHANGE) Projected Week 18 Starters: LT Duane Brown LG Laken Tomlinson C Connor McGovern RG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif RT George Fant Laurent Duvernay-Tardif allowed a massive nine pressures against Seattle this past week, earning a 25.3 PFF pass-blocking grade. This unit began the season ranked 13th before injuries and poor play dragged it down the rankings in a hurry. Upcoming Opponent: Miami Dolphins Christian Wilkins, Zach Sieler and Jaelan Phillips are all problems for the Jets to deal with and account for most of the alignments along the defensive line throughout the game. 32. TENNESSEE TITANS (NO CHANGE) Projected Week 18 Starters: LT Dennis Daley LG Aaron Brewer C Corey Levin RG Jordan Roos RT Nicholas Petit-Frere Tennessee’s line ranks dead last in PFF pass-blocking efficiency over the season (81.4). The Titans also rank second worst in the league in rushing yards before contact on average (1.0), with only Houston averaging less this season. Upcoming Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars The last time these two teams met, the left side of the line had major problems and No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker enjoyed the best game of his young NFL career with three pressures and a forced fumble.
No. Allen was a MUCH better thrower and had more potential to be a great passer. Fields is a fantastic runner, I'll give him that, but that won't last. It never does.
I’m not a huge fan of Fields…I wanted no part of him in the draft and I’ve seen nothing to change my mind since. He benefitted from a stacked OSU team where he was able to throw with noe pressure almost all the time and to NFL quality receivers….yes he’s fast and he’s made some highlight plays with his legs, but he’s not a great QB and I doubt with his style he’ll become one….look at Lamar…Lamar is faster and even more athletic and he’s starting to pile on the injuries. running QBs make for fun fantasy stats and great ESPN highlights but they rarely last very long and they don’t win championships….Randall Cunningham to Michael Vick to Lamar…three of the best to ever do it. Steve Young I guess would be the poster child for this style of QB and he did win but he was also a very good pocket passer, which Fields is not…
Maybe because Fields can play for another 10 yrs and Rogers will only be here for 2 max. But in the next year or 2 yrs, it isn't even close. If we miss out on all other quarterbacks, I would be good on bringing him here and dropping our BYU dead weight.
No he wasn't a great thrower. Josh Allen wasn't accurate the first two years he was In the league. He was a 50% thrower In college and the NFL. This Is just an inaccurate statement. On all fronts. Go look up the stats for yourself. I remember watching him play In college and the NFL. The trajectory Is very similar. Justin Fields could flop, anyone can. I highly doubt It though. Justin Fields was UBER productive In an offense that Is extremely void of talent. Justin Fields was that offense, he was electric, and he did improve significantly as a passer. I know It's easy to hate on him because who wants to really buy Into the idea that we passed up another good QB while we picked a trash can for a QB In Zach Wilson. Trust me. I get It. I'm just not sympathetic to any fan that feels this way because I know I wanted nothing to do with Zach Wilson. Nothing.
