Because I saw it live. Kroft absolutely had a dropped pass on 3rd down against the Panthers.

Moore also dropped has least 2 passes. The bomb he dropped hit him right in the numbers. He also had 1 other drop against the Panthers because he heard the safety coming in for a big hit.

I'm not sure how they record drops, but it's very favorable to the receiver it seems.

Thanks Falco. And if my memory serves me right, most all those drops were for a first down and much needed chain movers, which is criminal. That is 6-8 get off the field plays against us while trailing badly.

Actually, we have 11 drops, and are second in the NFL behind the Steelers (12 drops).

We have more than 8 drops. Even if that's what the stat on a major website says I don't care. Moore and Kroft have dropped passes.

The last time I looked 11 was greater than 8, so that would qualify as "more," right? ;)

There were several good tight ends available in free agency. Look at what NE did.

If they knew LaFleur was gonna use them so much they shoulda signed one of them.

I can’t stand these tight ends

I feel like drops is such an unofficial stat. I haven't counted but we have tons. 8, 11, seem like light numbers. The receivers have been just as bad as the offensive line.

And it's not just the drops. I feel there were passes, some contested, which you would not consider a drop, but you expect a top receiver to catch. Davis and others missed a few of these too, which didn't make that bottom 11 shit list. Receivers just need to do better. And Mims needs to be given a chance to be one of these receivers. He didn't drop the only pass thrown his way, which only happens to be the longest play of the year for the Jets.

    Who has the other 3?

I just checked yesterday individually and those are the numbers. It equals out to 8.

We're finding out what the Titans already knew, Corey Davis is not good enough to be the primary target at WR. I still think he's an outstanding secondary target, but he just doesn't have the game to produce with double coverage and sometimes gets lost in single coverage. LaFleur isn't doing him any favors, but the guy is not living up to those big moment plays that a primary receiver is supposed to.

I was hoping that Moore could turn into this, and maybe he still does, but until we have a more well-rounded group then it's going to be third options like Berrios coming free at the last second because our O-line is too bad to make the ground game any threat at all.

Moore had 2, Kroft (99 percent it was him, or it was Griffin I haven't gone back) had one. Equals 11.

Again, there were more that should have caught. You can continue to use a website and not your eyes if you want and think there is only 8.

I don't know. I read it in an article yesterday. They didn't cite who had the drops.

    Found it.

NY Jets can't do to Zach Wilson what they did to Sam Darnold
    By Justin Fried
    Sep 27, 2021

"The Jets are second in the NFL with 11 drops. They lead the league in drops per target. Over 11 percent of Zach Wilson's passes have been dropped."

I don't know where he got his figures, but since he's getting paid to write articles. I figure that his are accurate, but perhaps not.

Is there really an "official" statistic on dropped passes? I don't find it on the NFL site and I suspect whatever sites may be counting may not be consistent. Does it need to be in both hands or is one enough: maybe just six or seven fingertips is enough?
