I liked the way Zach played. He looked more in control and made some great throws. Lafleur blew this game. Zach and Berrios were the stars.

Maybe with new coaches too. Lafleur should be fired for that idiot call on fourth and two.

He called a great game up until then. He's been improving all year. I definitely don't want to fire him.

A TE is what the Jets think is a Temporary Employee.

Yeah, my god, how long ago was Shuler?

Too harsh. LaFleur has been making progress, and they almost won it. 24 pts against the defending SB champs is damn good.

The previous few weeks, Wilson looked more in control in a general sense. He wasn't able to put together anything resembling a complete game. I think today he did. It wasn't a perfect game by any means, but he looked solid the entire game and continues to progress.

In true Jets fashion, just when they start to give you a reason to look forward to them playing, they run out of time and we have to wait 8 months.

My hair was still brown. The only other good TE that I remember was Richard Caster.

When I was an undergrad almost 50 years ago (yikes), the grades were like this poll, only whole grades (A, B, C, etc.). It was terrible, as they eventually figured out. That's relevant here, because to me his grade is clearly A-/B+. Even without the 4th and 2 play it wasn't an A game, but it was damn good against a top defense. Even more importantly, as several people have pointed out, he is doing exactly what everyone has said they had hoped for in this season: getting progressively more comfortable, making progressively fewer mistakes, while still showing the talent that is there.

I cannot fathom anyone not thinking that he looks far better now than he did when he got hurt. Does that guarantee that he is an FQB-to-be? Of course not, but ignoring the upward trajectory of the last six weeks is just absurd in my opinion.

@BrowningNagle might disagree. He sees the same guy that started game one. And I'm not trolling either. He actually has doubled down on that take.

Because you had a pretty lengthy argument about how Zack Wilson doesn't look any better than he did in the first game. Do you not remember that? Or do you want to conveniently forget it? Just own your shit.

Today he looked better, but even then, game on the line, they didn't trust him to throw a pass

Your takes are so bad. Sorry if I call them out. Just tell us again how Wilson hasn't improved from game one. Make a compelling argument and you won't hear from me again. Good luck.

I liked Zach's progress before the game and was a fan of Zach, generally believing in longer leash for rookies, but even I was expecting a tough outing for him against this defense, given that he is out top 3 WRs, 3 TEs, Tackle, and C. And this is considering we didn't have the greatest players to begin with when they were healthy. Then when Fant went out replaced by brutal back-up Edoga, and with Carter out as another receiving target, I was thinking we had to pull Belichick vs Buffalo and just run it on every down.

To me what Zach was able to do today - given the supporting cast is simply remarkable. I really feel if we swapped QBs, even Brady may not end up having a game Zach just had. We had no one to help, and he elevated scrubs to put together a decent outing. Definitely exceeded all expectations.

How do you know they didn't trust him to throw a pass? It wasn't a true "must pass" down. In fact, the best play would've been any running play not by the QB, but they blew that which wasn't Zach's fault.

You're only cementing your reputation as a Wilson Hater. Do you get bonus points for that?

I don't. From my experience BN is a knowledgeable poster, but that's why it puzzles me with how anti-Wilson he is. A knowledgeable fan would at least see some potential and progress from Zach, so I don't get why he refuses to, other than his ego not wanting to admit he might've been mistaken.
