and Parcells had the huevos to bench a former #2 that was backup for a Punter and a special teamer to play QB.... and both were better
Yeah, that's nonsense. You can keep repeating it all you want, but it's still nonsense. There were opportunities to bring in other Quarterbacks and keep Zach in the backup role. They instead opted to NAME HIM THE STARTER almost immediately.
I mean sure we could have blown assets and cap room to try and add another QB. I mean giants could too instead of rolling with devito right? No Qbs really moved. If we had a shot to bring in a legit QB like say brady comes out of retirement, then sure. outside of that whats the point of trying to get another QB. nobody is trading their starter and no good team is trading their backup either.
Do you have a tic? It seems like at least half of all posts you make on TGG has a dopey "lol" dropped somewhere within. And, for what it's worth while you're over there chuckling at yourself, it is exactly how it works - Wilson is the first team quarterback of the New York Jets. At least that's what the website of the Jets says, but of course you know better. LOL to you!
a backup who has to start due to injury isn't a 1st teamer. they are a lesser player then the starter and that is known going into the season. as soon as we traded for rodgers, zach became the backup. that is how it works its very basic...lol lol lol
When the starter goes on IR and nobody replaces the backuo, they are effectively no longer the backup.
if they were a "starting QB" they would have started the season as the QB1. starting QB dictates the teams top QB on the roster. whether they are on IR is irrelevant. Calling zach the starter means you are calling rodgers his backup.
If a player is not on the active roster, they are not the starter. There is no way to argue that. A player on IR is not on the active roster.
if that was true antonio pierce would be the head coach not "interim head coach" you want to call zach the interim starter? go ahead If lazard goes down and GW goes down it doesn't make gipson and cobb starters all of a sudden. they are backups that are forced to start due to injury. the roster wasn't built with zach starting in mind
what the fuck yes, if Garrett Wilson went down, Randall Cobb would probably be the Jets starting wide receiver. We wouldn't call him Interim WR because that's just dumb
exactly but thats what it is. starting due to an injured player =/= being a starter. as soon as we traded for rodgers, zach was no longer a starting QB. that doesn't change because rodgers got hurt.
because the starter was hurt lol dobbs started every week for ari and then was shipped off when their starter came back. to a team that just lost their starter. if cousins didn't go down. dobbs would be riding the pine. if rodgers didn't go down zach would be riding the pine. the "starter" is the player who starts every game they are healthy. the backup comes in to replace an injured starter. that is their roles on the team.
The starter is the person who starts the football game. Its a simple word. Where they began their journey in training camp is irrelevant. By your wacked out thinking, nobody can ever earn a starting job and where they begin camp day 1 is their role. Which is really dumb. -- Zach Wilson is the Jets Starting QB sunday... unfortunately
do you ever get tired of hating on wilson? I also don't think you understand what trolling means. it's sad how many fans can be so blind they'd rather actively make the team worse. the same people saying he should be benched will be begging for him back after watching boyle play
so antonio pierce is a head coach huh? funny they call him interim. wonder why they do that? no reason i guess.
Ilike how you pars your wording to fit your supposition...you and bill clinton could colaborate on word smithing...LOL. And he is the STARTER for the NYJ... irrespective if at the beginning of the season he was #2, back-up, whatever...he is the starter since the 2nd game.
