I just finished watching the NFL video. My impressions:

    1. The announcers were a hype machine (though not as insufferable as the BYU announcers), but then again, aren't they always in these things? It's not like they're biased towards Wilson any more than they're biased towards whichever QB pro day they're announcing. I just tuned it out.
    2. It's a little concerning to hear he might've tweaked his hammy and declined to do any other drills. While this was mentioned almost as an afterthought, and downplayed, Wilson and his camp have to know that one of the "red flags" about him is him being injury prone, so to make this decision it must be a little bit more serious than a "tweak" if I had to guess. Still, I'd take him. It's not like a career-ending injury, nor has it been reported that he has a repeated problem with hamstring injuries.
    3. His arm looks better than I thought. Still not Mahomes/Allen level, but not far off. But it was his mechanics and throwing motion, coupled with the velocity and arm strength as a package that impressed me.
    4. I wouldn't be shocked if Jacksonville takes him, and if that happened I'd be pissed. That said, Lawrence wouldn't be like a "booby prize".

Despite what everyone is saying, I don't think anyone knows what Douglas will do. Yes, it's likely he takes Wilson, and I for one hope he does. But I wouldn't be shocked if he trades back for a king's ransom. I'd be very disappointed, but not shocked. Douglas is doing a great job of playing poker.

That's fine. Now I know. My bad. Thought it were a smart football guy. Turns out you are an idiot. Fair enough.

  4. I happen to agree w you 100%

I think Davis is one of the most overrated prospects in the class. He bends extremely welll, good technique, carries out his assignment,it ends there. He isnt as impactful as his hype wpuld suggest.

Myers likely doesnt fit our scheme & needs some work underhood, but he moves pretty good & can move people

Didn’t see Lance’s pro day but I know from film he has the tendency to throw at people’s feet when he misses (very McNabb-ish). Is that what he did?

Regarding Fields’ 2 bad games. OSU’s o-line got bitch slapped by IND’s defense. Not sure but I think they were missing people. Their exotic blitzes confused the shit out of the line leaving free defenders through the A gap routinely. They confused Fields too leading to some late throws & uncharacteristic hero ball throws early. He settled down late in the game. Would have love to see how he would have fared playing them a 2nd time after seeing the film. The NW game I haven’t studied but from what I remember he just didn’t play well. I think a lot of guys were out in that game too.

You and me both told them about Allen. A lot of people on here felt I was trolling how much I like Allen.

Wilson has me sold. What you think?

    1. They ordained him the #2 pick. It’s one thing when a TGG poster does it, it’s another when a network does.

From one QB guy to another you got to give me a little more than that. I wasn’t as high on him in the beginning but man after watching the tape it’s hard not to like the kid. The quick release is what does it for me personally. All the other stuff is good but that release is magic.

Funny thing, one of the announcers said Wilson wanted to do the drills, but he was told no...stick to the scrip. No hammy mentioned

That could be the reason then and this is what is hard to judge when not a regular viewer of college football, you don't notice if half of the OL is missing.

Lance pro day, I think he missed a couple of long ones and one was the WR fucking his route up if I remember right, hell man that was last week :)

Throw on 18 mins 18 seconds seemed to get the folks excited :)

He just looks like a physical specimen to me, maybe he came out a year too soon going back to what you said in an earlier post, his inexperience is a big worry.

I guess the questions we need to ask is will he be able to play in Lafleur offensive scheme?

I don’t care if he’s black, Latino, Samoan, are any of these guys who are touted as FQB, Lawrence, Wilson, Fields capable of running the Jets new scheme.

I want the guy who has the football IQ that can do that.

He reminds me a lot of McNabb but bigger.

He tweaked a hamstring that is why he didn't run a 40 yard dash.
