The same throw that should've been picked off? That's not threading the needle. That's throwing the ball by Kyle Wilson.

Of course against much better competition he's not going to look this great, but still, he's demonstrating everything you want in a QB - arm strength, accuracy, mobility, confidence, reading the field, going through progressions. If they take Wilson and Najee Harris they'll have a great offense.

Because you shouldn't analyze a quarterbacks arm talent based on their ability to throw it far. Every guy that gets into the league can throw it far. You want me to keep digging up highlight tapes of guys that throw perfect post routes?

Not really sure how Jason White stepping into his throw is a "crow-hop." I guess we have different definitions.

He and Wilson did the exact same thing on those throws. They just have different throwing motions.

I agree, you shouldn’t judge arm strength by a QBs ability to throw far. You should judge it on their ability to hit their receivers in stride down the field when there’s a defender trailing them. Like he does more routinely than any draft prospect I’ve watched since Mahomes.

Ridiculous. Wish it showed the up close replay where you can see the ball is placed right into the bread basket.

Mitchell Trubisky with dimes at 40 seconds and 1:10. Another really good accurate throw on the run at 2:27.

This is a 65 yard throw that would’ve hit the receiver in stride if it weren’t for DPI.

This dude throws the ball downfield with as much control and precision as anyone I’ve seen in recent years, including Mahomes.

Come on, man, now you’re just being disingenuous. The first one is 48 air yards and a duck that makes the receiver slow down, despite the fact that he’s actually wide open, unlike the throws I’m showing you. The second one is 42 yards in the air and also under thrown to a wide open receiver.

The only difference I see between Wilson and Mahomes is Mahomes has a stronger arm - not by a lot, but it is stronger. Oh yeah...Mahomes is ambidextrous.:p

That's who he reminds me of and this late rise feels the same. We'll see what happens.

BTW: Isaac Rex is a good looking TE. I don't think he's going to come out, but he's one to keep an eye on.

Also, Allgeier looks like a pretty good RB - not spectacular but power and decent speed.

While there's a lot to be said for how good competition affects performance, Wilson is making all the throws, with accuracy...only a couple were off target. I haven;t watched a whole lot of Lawrence, but I don't see him throwing down field as much as Wilson does. Of course that's dependent on the plays being called, and things outside Lawrence's control, but still is he as consistently accurate as Wilson?

Can’t lie, this Wilson kid does remind me of Mahomes in how he moves within/outside the pocket, how he can keep his eyes down field, his ability to throw from different arm angles and his ability to improvise...

He’s definitely good, only question I have is arm strength. I don’t see a big arm myself and in the meadowlands... you need one.

Lawrence is in a different league as far as raw arm power, he throws frozen ropes like Allen/Hebert...
