With how much ESPN slerps him on every platform they have, surprised its just not handed to Mac Jones every week regardless.
Was listening to WFAN Evan Roberts and his partner (Carten?) yesterday and they were making fun of the award calling it pretty much meaningless and free advertising for Pepsi.
Why, its a bad thing to get voted best anything for the week? Its meaningless to get recognized for being the best for that week? Dont get the cynical shit from these guys, who would have been whining like girls if Zach finished 2nd or 3rd
I'm amazing what a win does to help moral (players and fans), we haven't had a lot of practice as how to feel after a win so...But seriously, w/ the way ZW played, the JFM signing, the OL and DL performance last week (albeit against a receiver-less offense) and w/ the very beatable Falcons coming up, we have a chance to build some momentum here heading into the bye week. A win would be huge but a loss would be equally deflating...let's get a win here boys and let's get another rookie of the week award for ZW.
Happy for the kid! Again, my biggest concern with Zach is the turnovers and ability to adjust to the coverages. IF he can correct this issue, then he can be a special QB. I will say this--if he can come out tomorrow and have another big time game, be the first rookie QB to win in London and win rookie of the week again, he will be heading into that NE game after the bye with a healthy team and a head full of steam. If we somehow can get back to .500, this will be a different season than we thought.
That's barely a sports show it's all satirical. Evan is the 'I'll die to see my team win a championship' NY sports fan and Carton plays off that. They're pretty funny. Don't be so sensitive guys.
Since there is so much conversation in the Franklin-Myers contract thread, what affect does anyone think the rookie of the week citing will have when the time comes for Wilson to negotiate a new contract? I'm thinking that if people are honest the perspectives will probably not vary very much.
