So far he has mostly been shite, not what we wanted or hoped for, I live in hope for another 13 games
didnt see any of the game 19/32 looks crappy...apparently he was kinda crappy.... which is crappy for us Jet fans
i've rooted for all the Jet drafted QBs... but am not attched emotionally... so... until he proves to me that hes the real deal.. hes not
Watching the Jags game right now-- Lawrence and Wilson are night and day--Lawrence looks way more confident, elusive, accurate and fast. Different breed. The risks with Wilson IMO are glaring right now--his only great year was vs. sub par competition. Those Rams and Browns games will forever be scarlet letters for this franchise the way this is looking.
That's like the definition of cherry picking. You can't compare Wilson's play to Darnold's bad stretch while ignoring Darnold's good stretches. Unless you expect Wilson to have a similar good stretch going forward, which while possible, isn't very likely.
Yep, we all knew he was the most polished choice but the Jets fucked themselves by winning the Rams game etc so here we are.
Yep. All the GM / ownership had to do was say they needed 3 games to evaluate what they had in James Morgan. They damn well knew they didn't want to keep him. If you started Morgan, you wouldn't have had to do one more thing in order to lose games. That's the least they could have done with Morgan considering they wasted a pick on him. Play Morgan and secure the bag. The issue starts at the top, always has and always will.
Maybe not what we hoped for in the first year, but I see flashes of brilliance in him, which gives me hope.
the difference between a vet and a rookie was night and day on the pitch - have to just pray that it is growing pains (but the Jets always seem to go with the wrong option at QB so it probably isn't)
I have to laugh sometimes…..this entire board reflects the mood of a pre-menstrual woman. Compare the posts immediately after the Denver game through the whole Titans win and up to now. Down and up up and down …… And there will be no snapping out of it anytime soon with the bye week coming up.
aside from about 2 throws I haven't seen anything that makes me think that he is going to be the answer - he is a rookie with a big jump up in opposition so not calling him a bust but I will be surprised if we don't spend the next 10 years wishing we had got Lawrence instead - SOJ never bad enough when it counts and never good enough when it counts
The only reason why Lawrence isn't even more dominant as a rookie is just how dysfunctional his coaching situation is and the surrounding cast. Otherwise he would have been Herbert +. The nice part about having a QB like TL or Herbert is you don't have to be AS amazing in other areas. If Jacksonville had even a decent hand at the wheel like Daboll or Bienemy--you would probably be seeing historically elite numbers out of TL as a rookie. If you think were going to feel bad now about that Rams game debacle--just wait until Jacksonville hires a even a decent coach. Think Manning, Luck, Elway, Aikman etc.
