Only thing is I'll wonder how happy Stacy will be coming here, where he's just as buried on the depth chart as he was with the Rams and he was disgruntled enough to want a trade from there. But seventh-round pick...

ivory and bilal will make the team. stacey should beat out riddley if riddley keeps proving he cant hold on to the ball.

any combo of the 4 should work.

I think Stacy is a better RB with 2 years NFL experience than what was still on the board at #224.

he had major issues with it. 7 fumbles his last 2 years with new england with a few others negated by penalty and few more in preseason. it basically ended his time in new england despite helping lead one of the leagues top rushing offenses.

Just gathering everything I read, seems like after a good year 1.....Rams went with Tre Mason and Cunningham and Stacy just never got it going. Rams have drafted a ridiculous amount of backs the past few seasons and I guess Stacy demanded a trade to try and salvage his career and get some money before the age 30 plateau comes forth. Ran behind a line that was in shambles too in St Louis.

Still more than worth it for a 7th.

Stacy is not a better back than Ridley. Ivory and Ridley are the two sure fire rotation guys if healthy. Powell may be a little screwed but then how do you justify his contract?

The Jets have Ivory and they called Powell underrated before resigning him. We then bring Ridley in who is supposed to be decent and now Stacy. Also, don't we still have that other kid from STL Richardson hanging around? Are we going to not have a FB this year or something?

Stacy will cost us 520k if we keep him, again that's a steal.

That's what I was thinking before I made my post a few seconds ago. They made it seem like Powell was coming back to extended playing time. Now, it looks like he could be 4th?!? on the depth chart. I like Powell and that would be a shitty thing to do to him. The only thing I can think of is they are going to run some kind of thing with 2 h-back and no fullback?

That's the other thing… Stacy wanted out of St. Louis because he was going to be buried on the depth chart. How is it going to be any better here? He's the third best running back and isn't as good of a pass catcher as the fourth best running back.

They have camp to answer those questions.

Stacey for pick 224 is a no brainer. Bring him to camp and see what he's got. If he can't hack it all you lost is a 7. It's crazy having a GM this competent.

So what was spectacular about it. It remains to be seen. I had no preferences on whom they drafted. The only obvious home run is Williams.

I think training camp will weed out the RBs. If the Jets (current CS) is not thrilled with Ivory, then getting Stacy was a steal. This kid still has a lot to offer and might just get his chance now. Macc might have pulled off one of the best drafts in Jets history.
