Hopefully reminiscent of when Idzik stole Ivory for a fourth. He had an amazing 2013 but he was atrocious last year. Hard to see both him and Ridley making the team.
I think this is definitely a worthwhile gamble for a 7th round pick, but would've preferred a speed back to compliment Ivory/Powell/Ridley. Now the Jets just have four power guys.
Just imagine future drafts. Remember this is Magic Mikes's first draft as The Man instead of an advisor. Here's where that personnel experience comes into play.
Great draft you're not gonna get pro bowl players at every position in the first year this was a great offseason now time for the players to put the work in
Also, he wasn't really worse last year in 2014 than 2013. Averaged 3.9 YPC in both years. Just had way higher expectations coming into last year, obviously, which he didn't live up to.
And that was before he nearly had a thousand-yard season on a bad team. I'm not expecting much tbh BUT Stacy's a good inside guy that if he sticks can take some of the pressure off Ivory/Ridley on inside running. Plus it's a 7th rounder, odds are the guy you pick isn't even going to have the impact Stacy did in 2013.
The Jets actually traded for two players. Did any other team trade for a player during this weekend. As for grading his draft: nothing spectacular after round 1. We'll see how these players work out.
He might be the worst back on the roster still. im more than fine with the trade but there's a strong possibility he starts the season with another team.
For a 7th rounder I have no problem with this trade. Frankly, I dont think he makes the team but you can't this trade for what they have up. He could push Ridley.
