Not anymore. Those reports were before the injury to Kelvin Beachum @ LT. Now week to week with a foot injury.

I liked Cook as well but what happened to him is a lesson (ahem...Giants) as to what can happen with backs in general. They always get hurt. They have short peaks. Sometimes they're never the same after certain types of injuries, and you can generally find some in rounds 3-7 that will outperform 1st and 2nd round backs over the course of their careers. That's why 1st and 2nd round pick draft capital should not be spent on RB's (with some exceptions of course)

Our roster (currently) consists of 11 third year players...

I've always noticed how many of NFL Football heads talk about the importance of a younger players 3rd year.

And how some players truly break out during their 3rd season of play.

Or how you can not truly judge a player until his 3rd year rolls around.

3rd year this, 3rd year that.

    Etc. Etc.

Darron Lee (drafted 1st round by NYJ).

    Robby Anderson (undrated by NYJ).

Jordan Jenkins (drafted 3rd round by NYJ).

Lachlan Edwards (drafted 7th round by NYJ).

I'd say that those four are the 'cream of the crop" in regards to our returning 3rd year players (in terms of being able to expect bigger things out of them).

Brandon Shell (drafted 5th round by NYJ).

Juston Burris (drafted 4th round by NYJ).

Charone Peake (drafted 7th round by NYJ).

    Lawrence Thomas (undrafted by NYJ).

    Eric Tomlinson (undrafted by Philly).

    Lucky Whitehead (undrafted by Dallas).

Rashard Robinson (drafted 4th Round by San Fran).

Outside of Brandon Shell (due to the importance of O-Line prospects) I consider all of these players as being "on the bubble", as in; may not make it out of preseason before being cut.

Obviously looking forward to round two of Sam Darnold & Teddy Bridgewater.

Excited to see more of Trenton Cannon and Nathan Shepherd.

And really looking forward to seeing Jordan Leggett take the field tonight.

Obviously looking to see how The Ginger starts his career. Other than that.....
Secondary: how much will Adams & Maye progress this season?
How much will having Trumaine Johnson help Claiborne on the other side?
Can we PLEASE figure out how to use a tight end?
Will Bowles be better when it comes to making in game adjustments?
