Ok, two thirds of the 1st round draft pool is at excessive risk of busting due to over-inflated expectations being heaped on 20 and 21 year old kids who really probably should have stayed in school another year.

That'd be my "balls on the line" prediction.

Obviously if QB was in the survey Johnny Manziel would have one of the highest bust chances of anybody. He's also in my top 5 star list.

When you're 3 years out of high school the NFL is likely to be a bit rough in the early going.

This thread is about labeling busts. Obviously they haven't taken any NFL snaps but it's different saying their stock is rising too fast and labeling them a bust. To label someone a bust they have to really come off as a player who shows severe holes in their talent. I don't see that with either

    Kelvin Benjamin
    David Yankey
    Ka'Deem Carey(not a 1st rd prospect but many think top 2 RB)
    Louis Nix
Ryan Shazier (unless he gets to play 4-3 WLB like Lavonte David)
    Bradley Roby
    Jason Verrett

So your saying that you can tell me who will and who won't be a bust?...A bust is someone that is suppose to be a great player that turns out terrible. If someone saw holes in there game they wouldn't draft them and no one would be a bust? That's the whole point of being a bust no one saw it coming.

That's what this thread is predicting, busts. So everyone in this thread is "telling you who will and won't be a bust".

Obviously it is a surprise, but you can tell when a guy has the potential of being a bust or not. I can't see why either of the guys you mentioned show that potential of being one.

That's the whole point of a bust. I guess you don't understand that. Listing guys that have small holes is simply stating that they are risks. When those guys fail they're not considered busts because they didn't live up to expectations they just couldn't fix the issues that they had.

I guess you can say I should list those guys as reaches but that's your "expert opinion" and my opinion is dumb. This thread said list 5 1st round guys that could be busts excluding QB's. In addition to that I excluded O+D lineman making my list very short to choose from.

If you can see the future of every guys career I sure do hope you take over for Idzik.

    Gilbert - CB
    Dennard - CB
HA-HA Clinton Dicks - S (hell the name alone says it)
    Mosley - ILB
    Fuller- CB

My picks are skewed because we desperately need Offense.

Why is Amaro on so many lists, because he won't have Manziel throwing to him anymore? He had 31 catches for first downs or TDs alone last year.

The real question is whether or not the Jets do... I have a bad feeling he could be the pick at #18

Benjamin doesn't really meet one of the main criteria that Idzik appears to be guided by, which is strong production. I wouldn't assume that he's high on the Jet's list. He would have been high on the last regime's list due to his potential but the regime didn't do very well in getting draft picks to actually achieve what their potential suggested was possible.

Despite being a sophomore Benjamin is going to be 23 going into next season. He had to come out this year. He's always played against people a a couple of years younger than him. He was senior age as a freshman in 2012 and played as a 19 year old senior in high school.

As a #1 WR he's a project at this point.

Kelvin Benjamin - I keep hearing about potential... the dude is 23 already, hes older than Josh Gordon. Wasn't even the best WR on his team.

Eric Ebron - The dude has trouble catching the ball in traffic. He has lapses of concentration. Not a good sign.

I feel so strongly these 2 are gonna be busts that I didnt want to pick 3 more players Im not sure about just to make it 5.
