Don’t underestimate the Jets, it’s damn possible they wait until June to start looking for coaches

So whats the point of posting in this topic? You dont have an answer but dont like any candidate that gets mentioned.

At least name a candidate otherwise complaining about other candidates mentioned but not having an answer of your own is just pointless.

Are any of you really going to tune in to a Vance Joseph, Arthur Smith, or Nagy run team?

I would gladly find another way to occupy my time…..or maybe it’s a way to tank for Arch Manning?

I have no idea what makes these guys qualified for an interview….I am starting to question the validity of the NFL that these guys have jobs

Sure, to make fun of the franchise and to laugh at just how bad it's going to be.

There's zero chance that Manning is coming here, even if we have the #1 pick the year that he declares for the draft. They didn't let Eli go to the Chargers. This is venturing into all-time levels of ineptitude. There's no way that the Manning family allows him to come to New York.

I really don't get the Aaron Glenn thing.

Here's where his Detroit defenses have finished in opponent points per game and yards per play:

    PPG:

    31st
    28th
    25th
    7th

    YPP:

    30th
    32nd
    29th
    27th

So 3 awful years and 1 mediocre year (I know about the injuries, but the body of work is awful overall). What are we doing here?

he took over the single worst defense though. So he takes over a terrible defense and improves it to the point where they are sitting with homefield advantage. Whats not to like

The defense was bottom 5 in 3 out of his 4 years as DC. One outlier decent year isn't convincing to me.

The Lions win because they score a billion points per game, not because of their defense.

thats actually not correct about the Lions. Often times they give up garbage points late which affects their points per game and yardage per game stats anyway

they've had 4 games this year where they held their opponent without a TD

No, it really isn’t. It’s called voicing an opinion. You voiced yours, and I’m voicing mine. Flores is shit, Glenn has too much goodwill banked to want to see it go to waste, and Rex was fired for a reason, what is that reason gone now? Has the statute of limitations expired? I’ll stop saying the candidates suck when they stop approaching sucky candidates

Still is one solid year on defense on a team that wins with offense after 3 pretty bad defensive seasons is all we need to see to make the guy a HC? I understand he inherited the worst defense and 1st year is forgivable, but the defense was not good for 3 years, then became solid 4th year. That's a long time and it is still not elite or anything. I just don't get it.

If they can fix their OL and get a true #1 WR this offseason, they could be a problem next year. Defense struggled but they had big injuries to guys like Barmore and Gonzalez.

We need to make this a poll, of the top 5 most likely candidates. The topic is so all over the place, It would be interesting to see who is winning amongst us

Here is the latest tracker Honestly, from this entire list I only really like Joe Brady for the HC. If these are the only choices, then Vrabel probably #2. Still hoping they will schedule with Coen, Monken, and Kingsbury.

Hell, with this list, Ulbrich might actually have a chance. After another offseason of gutting the defense just a little bit more, I have no doubt that Ulbrich and company could lead us to the #1 pick and set up a real candidate for success in 2026.

    This list is seriously depressing.

Yeah, I really hope there is more coming. Some may not have been leaked yet. Like there were other reports they were interested in Coen and Kingsbury, but I don't see them on the official list. Stay tuned ... I hope.

Thank you for posting this. I thought Tod Monken was also requested. But sure hope they do it, same with Kingsbury. I can not see Griese, Slowik, Smith, Ryan, Mccown….what the hell are they doing?

I still don’t get why Bill O’Brien isn’t getting any action across the entire NFL. I haven’t seen a single request to interview him.

    They're being the Jets.

As always, the Jets are going to Jet. Maybe that should be the new slogan the next HC can plaster all over the walls at 1JD.
