Didn't that toolbag Connor Hughes say that Vrabel interviewed with the Jets for a reason? Well... here's your reason! The only thing any legit player or coach values with the Jets is the leverage they get by pretending they are interested.
Almost no pieces, aside from the QB. This is the same team that got absolutely dismantled by this pathetic Jets team.
They have a couple dudes on offense and Maye looks like he can be the real deal. I’d guess they really don’t want to give him the Sam Darnold treatment with a conservative defensive head coach that can’t advance his progress pretty quickly. Rhamondre can be a really good back in this league and they have a pair of talented (maybe not good though?) receivers.
Patriots just fired Mayo - looks like Vrabel is going to the Patriots (I suspect) edit: and this is already old news I see!
Yep he used the Jets. Hence why people suggesting the Jets should get on their hands and knees and beg for him were morons.
I would call them "desperate" instead of morons. Hope is something we never seem to have in abundance.
Either way the idea that this organization should be begging for a mediocre head coach is pathetic. The Jets need someone that wants to be here, not someone who needs to be begged and catered to, to come here.
It certainly doesn't, but get ready for a heavy dose of it now that Vrabel is out of the picture. Rex is coming to win that first press conference, otherwise known as the Jets' Super Bowl.
Thank you not enough people mentioning how things went in Miami. He does not strike me as the kind of guy to get along with an owner like Woody first of all. Second of all we have players that are quite openly saying they don't want to be here anymore. Idk if Flores is the kind of guy to change that. Might make it worse. Depending of course on the details of what happened between him and his players down there
Why is everyone clamoring for Flores? He could not make play-offs for 3 years. Miami hired on offensive guy right after him and made play-offs right away. I frankly don't care for winning record if it does not get us to play-offs. On top of that he had terrible relationship with his top QB pick. On top of that he has an issue with the League as it was racist since he thinks some teams interviewed him only for Rooney rule. He also had terrible relationship with his owner. He claims he asked to tank, Ross denies, but the bottom lines is it seems like the guy has major issues with key people when he is in a major role like a HC. Also, you know how we have so many leaks just now, well he is a major leaker as well. Belichick accidentally congratulated him on getting a job with the Giants, instead of another Brian - Daboll. He leaked that too and added to his lawsuit for discriminations against him. I think as a DC he should be OK, like @JetsKickAss said, but as a HC, absolutely no, no, and hell no.
Vrabel was the one "experienced" head coach I was interested in. With him most likely going to New England and us looking for someone to be a "leader of men" and to bring stability to the franchise, my rankings are as follows. 1. Pete Carroll 2. Jon Gruden 3. Kliff Kingsbury 4. Brian Flores This is the list I am using: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...news/who-are-the-coaching-candidates-for-2025
he didn’t make the playoffs because the owner forced the team to tank lol I like that he’s suing the league- fuck those crusty old owners
