My bold prediction is I have no idea what's gonna happen. Seems like almost everyone wants to move back with the exception of maybe 2-3 teams and there is no consensus #1 player which adds to the confusion even more. so yeah i have no clue and its gonna be exciting to see what goes down
Jets trade back from #9 to Vikings for #23, #52 (2nd), their 2014 1st and other '14 picks (to balance it out). (they move up for Austin) Jets trade Revis for to TB for the #13 (and other considerations of which nobody seems to have an idea what it could be) Jets trade #13 to St. Louis for the #16 & #78 (3rd) (they move up for Vaccaro) Jets use #16 on (OG) Jonathon Cooper - future pro bowler Jets use #23 on (OLB/DE) Bjorn Werner or Margus Hunt (who seems to be climbing fast) Jets use #39 on (WR) Robert Woods - not blazing, but so damn smooth with great hands Jets use #52 on (S) D.J. Swearinger- big hitter who can cover in the slot. Will be a great fit for Rex Jets use #72 on (TE) Gavin Escobar - Great hands, runs good routes, should fit well in West Coast offense - needs work as a blocker Jets use #78 on (NT) John Jenkins - 33 yo Garay on 1 yr deal, and K. Ellis hasn't shown enough yet Tried to be bold, and somehow wound up with a 3 round mock.
I'm going to go way bold, although the chances of these happening are pretty slim. 1. EJ Manuel is the first QB taken. 2. Keenan Allen falls to the 3rd round 3. Marcus Lattimore falls to the 6th round 4. The Jets trade back in the first, but trade up their third to a late 2nd. 5. Hunt goes top 20.
going to keep my predictions to Jets only. Jets will trade Revis. the Seahawks often traded down, I think Idzik brings that to the Jets. So my bold prediction is the Jets trade down both the #9 and the #13 (from Revis) picks. I also think they'll Trade down in the 2nd round.
The only bold prediction I feel confident in making is that at least one QB is going to get drafted way above his consensus position, likely in the 1st round. Possibilities include Geno Smith in the top 4, Matt Barkley in the top 10, E.J. Manuel in the top 20, Ryan Nassib anywhere in the 1st round.
Five predictions: No QB drafted in the top 12. No RB drafted in the 1st round Jets trade down to acquire more picks Jets draft a CB in 1st round Jets do not draft a QB in any of the first 5 rounds.
Jets fans will cheer, for the first (and only)time ever, when the Pats are on the clock. Francesa will still call us classless for not giving them our pick.
Here is the most likely occurrence. Revis is traded to Bucks. Jet fans will bitch about haul not fully realizing anything(almost) is better than a possible third in 2015. The Jets will move back with one or more of their picks. Someone available or taken in one of the original spots will become very good. With the benefit of hindsight, many Jet fans will bitch "we should have had so and so, I knew he was going to be great"
Jets trade down with the Carolina Panthers who are looking to take a DT/OT that falls to 1.9. Jets receive 1.14 and 2.13 Jets then trade 1.14 to the Vikings for 1.23 and 2.22 for Tavon Austin to replace Percy Harvin With those two trades, the Jets have the following 5 picks in the first two rounds. 1.13 (13) 1.22 (22) 2.08 (39) 2.13 (44) 2.22 (52)
