Chad would have done what he did this year. Use 1:49 seconds to check down and run the clock out for the opposing team. I think that guys who have the talent like Eli can catch fire and do it but I do not think Chad has the ability play at that level. Maybe in 2002 but those days are gone. I would not take a Qb this year as well. I would rebuild both lines and if Kellen can't cut it I would address the problem in the 09 draft. I really think a Qb does need his team to catch fire along with him but the Qb has to have the talent to take the team to the next level. One thing I do agree with 100% is Eli has no effect what we do come draft time. If Mangini was watching what the Giants Defensive line should be what we use to gauge our draft prospects this year.
my post has nothing to do with us taking ryan or brohm. it has to do with one or both of them going top 5, one perhaps to Miami. only by consequence des the post have anything to do with the jets by pushing down players. Like Chris Long specifically.
Then they'd be better off doing what they're hopefully planning on doing already because any QB would fail behind this O-line. O-line + coaching + weapons will make any QB look good...look at Derek Anderson. Plus, theres no QB worth taking at 6.
