We usually have a Super Bowl party, and some of the wife's friends come over. She watches about half the game. That's it. But, I can watch the games in peace. Works for me.
You know when you introduced her to us last January as "Your better half" I haven't heard the end of it. I hear: Why don't you introduce me to people as your better half? that line was awesome by the way and prooves why she is in fact your better half!! :beer:
That's a good point. I don't mind watching regular season games with my gf but I can't stand watching preseason with her - she treats the games like they matter.
This chick that I'm seeing texted me after the Jets beat the Eagles in Preseason with "Yay, the Jets won!!" I know she doesn't know any better, but ew.
Wow. We had to go to a baseball game for a friend's birthday the night of the Jets-Skins game. I was complaining to my wife that I was going to miss half the game and she said "Why do you care? The preseason doesn't count."

Nice! I was hoping to come up for the game Oct 11 and tailgate and see you guys ,but most likely not gonna happen due to babysitting issues. But my GF and I plan on getting up there for 1 in Nov/dec.

my wife had a different reaction. Last night I said, "Honey, it's football season, Jets are on Monday Night." She said (annoyed), "Already? I can't stand the screaming!" She does enjoy Hard Knocks though. Although I can't stand the 20 questions that come when watching with her.
