There is no way that they go back to the 4-3. Mangini is going to stick with the 3-4. That is his plan, and he isn't going to deviate. Next years plan has to include a real NT, and a real pass rusher if nobody breaks through this season. The OL is just awful right now. Brick is overmatched. He looked really bad in this last game. Putting Bender next to him is suicide. My personal feeling is that if this is the group that is protecting the QB, Pennington won't last 5 games into the season before he's either benched or killed.
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. You're suppose to give us an idea of what the thread is about in the title. That's the whole point of a title. Brick is looking horrible! Don't blame the crappy LG play. If Brick gets beat, Brick gets beat. It's not as if two DL bull rushed him or the LG affects how Brick sucks at run blocking.... BTW, Benders first start, so I can't pass judgment on him yet.
The poor preseason performance by out 1st team is all just a part of Mangini's Grand Master Plan of Deception....
