Year in retrospect: How did the Revis trade work out?

    In BB's world, Jets' intention was fully Richardson from the get-go, and Milliner was picked because of Revis's absence. So you are basically talking to a wall there.

    True, Woody might have compromised their own position by tipping the hand. That said, who in the right mind thinks Revis would have signed a reasonable long term deal last year? If the salary level wasn't up to his expectations, Revis would have walked instead. That is a definite possibility - and once that happened, Jets would have a comp pick this year to show for it. Jets got Richardson out of it instead - and that's a bad deal? Because Revis went to Pats? If Revis walked then signed with Pats [which is also a distinct possibility] would you like that better?

    P.S. Don't count the 4th round pick - Jets would have gotten 3rd round compensation if Revis walked anyway. The true heist exists in the extra 1st round pick they somehow recouped.
