Hahahaha, I actually thought about that comment. I'm really happy with the way he's playing this year.
Oh yeah, no complaints at all...His fielding is fine, sure he has had some errors, but it's fine. His bat has been excellent, a slumping May, but seems to be fine. Happy to see Jeter break out of his little slump tonight. But who saw Abreu turning this around like he has? Yisman did...But he still sucks. Canue and Melky are my boys!
When the F*** is Joe Torre going to make an actual INTELLIGENT decision with the pitching staff? Why is Mo not getting the work?!?!
Alex's May wasn't even that bad. He just slowed down with the long ball, but he still got on base a lot. Considering that no one around him was hitting, he did a good job staying in his groove. Yeah, I'm glad Jeter broke out. We can't afford a prolonged slump for him. As for Abreu, I'm cautiously optimistic. I don't want to get too excited yet. Melky is the man. Cano is doing what he's supposed to, but Melky is doing a helluva job taking advantage of his opportunity now. And his glove in center is a godsend right now.
I would have had Rivera in. No question. The guy needs work, and Joe is steadfastly refusing to give it to him. It's stupid.
And I don't care that Villone and Britton pitched yesterday...Keep Bruney fresh... Mo pitching? Eh, I don't know. The work he could use, but in a 5 run game I just don't like it. But i'd understand why he would be brought in.
This is depressing...Screw the 1st baseman. This team needs a reliever...Their is nobody really RELIABLE, and this pen is very very mediocre. I like Bruney despite tonight, but another arm is more important.
Well, if Clueless Joe had actually let Clippard pitch another inning, the whole pen situation is different.
Yes. Good work guys. Now you have to use this as a springboard. You have to start winning a lot of games in bunches.
Finally over. I find it amusing the next two nights the Yanks face Vasquez and Contreras...How fitting.
That was a save situation for Rivera. Good to get him in those situations. Bullpen management was a joke once again. This is the kind of solid win that I hope becomes regular.
Johnny Damon? Seriously? Not Clippard? Not Cano? Not Alex, Jorge, or even Derek? Not even Cairo? Damon?
