I never understood why people are so fascinated by a Jets-Yankees fanbase. They are both two completely different sports. I have a lot of family in the Bronx who are pretty much all Yankees-Jets, as well as a few from Jersey and Brooklyn.
This. I don't like parity. I like winning. Winning is fun. It's the old stadium association. Giants in Yankee Stadium, Jets in Shea.

Congrats Yankees fans. It was pretty obvious that they were the best team for the whole year, you deserved it. I'd also say that the talk about the Yankees "literally buying championships" is over the top. Since they last won, "smaller" franchises like the Marlins, Phillies, and White Sox have all won the World Series. And teams like the Cubs and Mets show that with enough bad decisions there can be problems money wont fix. As a fan I think it sucks that the Yankees won, but the moralizing on how lower teams can't compete is pathetic.
 Nice post and soooooooooo true. and who said that quote in your sig, was it from the nathan's hot dog comp? If it was, it's pretty funny..
Anyone who actually knows the Jets history with the Mets would NEVER be a Mets fan... The Mets organization treated the Jets horribly when they played at Shea... they wouldn't let them use the field until after the baseball season forcing the Jets to open on the road every season... and this was a the dump known as Shea... other things like poor locker rooms and refusal to do anything to help the Jets organization... they basically were slumlords to the Jets which is why the Jets made the deal with the devil to move to the Meadowlands... there was a book written about it about 12 years ago by a NY Times reporter... can't remember who or the name of the book... but it spelling it out pretty clearly that the Met organization were douchebags to the Jets... the book also layed out all the failures of the Jets on their own... pretty brutal read...
I am going and suspect I will be hanging with some of the Yankee players at the Mudville bar after the festivities. My good friend who works at the Stadium steak house is close with some of the players and that is the plan.
Yea, just let me hop on my leer jet and I'll be out in no time. Then later, we're hanging out in the Hampton's for a while before we take a nice cruise on my yacht. JoeJet, you in?

Just got back from the parade..... Nice but not the best. The players floats were moving waaay to fast and the fact that only Jeter spoke was kinda BS.... but, got a chance to record it..I'll put it up on da tube later..
I'm going to watch the parade later. I DVR'd it. I think I saw YES is replaying it at 10PM tonight if anyone missed it and wants to catch it.
Parade sucked ass. Why put nobodies on the double deckers and the players on floats? I couldn't see shit. Too many dads putting their kids on their shoulders. I mean, not to be an asshole, but c'mon Joe there are other people there too. Get your fucking kid down.
