WTF? No reason to pull Hughes now... more over managing on the bullpen from Girardi

Girardi's shown he'll do this all year. Mo for the four out save.

Can't say I'm the biggest fan of it... I have faith in Hughes there... but I understand it, too.

Nice W. Pettite was very solid today and we beat the best pitcher in the AL. Have to be happy with this one.

At this point, I'm just rooting for a 22-inning game.

And for bears to maul everyone on the field, of course.

Hopefully the bats are present tomorrow. If we can sneak away with a win on a Mitre start, we're laughing..... Does managment expect him to be the 5th starter the rest of the way???

Yankees designated infielder Cody Ransom for assignment.

Ransom hit just .190 in 79 at-bats this season. He was jettisoned to make room for right-hander Anthony Claggett. Joe Girardi told the New York Daily News that the move was made in order to protect the bullpen. ?€œWe wanted to make sure we had depth in our bullpen,?€? Girardi said, according to the Daily News. ?€œWe know this is going to be a tough series coming up, teams that really like to work the pitchers, so we wanted to make sure we didn?€™t wear anyone out.?€?
