Matsui DH today, with Damon in center and Melky in left. Good. Not that I like Damon out there, but at least Matsui won't be out there. (They should have played Thompson in left, and Melky in center. Give Matsui the whole day off.) ------------------ Hughes is throwing a pen session today, so he is still on track for a late-July, early-August return. Rasner has headed down to Tampa to start whatever it is he will be doing down there.

Throwing a pen session today. Obviously, that's not even close to being ready to return, but they are saying 2-3 weeks before he returns. He should pitch one more batting practice session, then a couple starts for Wilkes-Barre, and then he should be back the last week of the month, or the first week in August.
