That's the ball game. We're not hitting Fuentes.

LaToya Hawkins gets Jorge to ground out...

    Game Over...Pathetic loss.

Tough loss for sure. Damn. 3-1 Final. Only 4 runs scored? Could of been hard for the Yankees hitters to see with all that Fogg.

1 run against Fogg, what a terrible game. hopefully it's like game 1 against the Mets where the bats revived forthe next 2 games. We still have a big hill to climb and losing a game like that really hurts.

Just when you come around to having hope for this team again...

Joe Torre is an ass. This Nieves for Moose thing is yet another example of why a specific catcher for a pitcher is dumbest idea in sports. The lineup was severely weakened with Cabrera leading off, and the bottom having Nieves and the pitcher's spot. Stick with what WORKS Joe.

Funny stuff them weighing down the ball out there to slow down the HRs.

Oh well, at least we won't have to suffer through Phelps anymore. Of course, when Phillips only plays a third of an inning, it's hard for him to have an impact.

Nice to see Vizcaino's resurgence. Thanks Mo.

And Girardi interviewed for the Orioles job. Just great.

Let's not start w/ the Joe stuff again, I don't care who is in the lineup we should be able to score more than 1 run against the pitching we faced.

Why should I not start on Joe again?

Is there ANY good reason why Mike Mussina, arguably the worst pitcher on our staff this year, gets his own personal catcher? Especially one who doesn't hit?

We lost 2 batting slots in one game, and had Melky leading off with Damon on the bench. That's not Joe's fault?

    Let's compare:

    Normal Lineup:
    Damon DH
    Jeter SS
    Abreu RF
    ARod 3B
    Posada C
    Matsui LF
    Cano 2B
    Cabrera CF
    Cairo 1B

    Last Night:
    Cabrera CF
    Jeter SS
    Abreu RF
    ARod 3B
    Posada 1B
    Matsui LF
    Cano 2B
    Nieves C
    Mussina P

Are you seriously going to say having an 8, 9, 1 like that last night is okay?

Damon could have played first, and Posada could have caught. Then we only lose Cairo for Moose. See the major difference?

How you can continue to support this crap is beyond my ability to comprehend.

Well, at least Joe got Myers into another game!

Is damon seriously getting workouts at first base? that would be great because the lineup would still have his bat and cabrera's defense. But cairo has been really good at first base defensively and has been a decent hitter.

    Yes he has.

I like Cairo in the lineup too, since he represents the exact sort of hitter you want at the bottom of the order, plus his defense has been awe-inspiring this year.

But Damon HAS to be in the leadoff spot. As much as I like Melky, he's a black hole in the leadoff spot.

I now read we are trying to make a Sean Henn for Carlos Pena trade. Seems we are upping the skill level at the 1st baseman we want. Maybe Giambi won't be back at all this year.

Mussina has pitched much better w/ Nieves and I don't care what the lineup looks like we should have scored more than a run. We struggles the first 2 months and it's all Joe's fault, we win 12 of 13 and joe doesn't get any praise then we lose a game and it's all Joe's fault. We had opportunities to score alot of runs last night but the bats were cold just like in the first game against the Mets. It happens, not everything negative is Joe's fault.
