Sometimes when you win the battle you end up losing the war. This is their 5th game in 4 days and they don't have an off day till next Monday. You can't throw your pitchers out there every day no matter how much you want to win the game.
Charo's 65. Wow. Speaking of older women, Farrah Fawcett didn't look too bad on the Shatner roast. She's not the Farrah Fawcett of 25 years ago, but she looks pretty good. 2-0 NYY
Oh trust me, I think along the same lines as you. I am not trying to justify what they are doing, just making an attempt to explain what the possible reasons might be. As I am sure 10P10 can attest, I am not a Torre fan. I think he is a total asswipe.
How F'd up is it that Wells has to have his ERA boosted again, when he probably could have finished the inning?
I'm not even mad right now that Proctor is in for another inning. I just have a headache. And I'm a little amazed.
How many other teams can be in contention with so many injuries and don't just buy people like the Yankees did? For pete's sake the Sox are having to using their best prospects to try to hold this team together. Let's see the injuries include: Matt Clement, Jason Varitek, Trot Nixon, David Wells(earlier), Keith Foulke, Tim Wakefield, Lenny DiNardo, ?lex Gonz?lez, Coco Crisp(earlier), and some others and they filled the gaps with Paplebon, Lester, Synder, Delcarmen, Hansen, Lopez, J. Lopez, Johnson, and Hinske. Some worked out while others didn't so though I'm upset about them losing you can't help it when you're injury plagued.
How funny was it at the end of the last inning to hear Sox fans chanting "Yankees Suck?" Umm, guys, we just walked into your house, ate all your food, shit on the rug, and on the way out the door, we kicked the dog. Exactly how do we suck? Sorry guys, I didn't plan on gloating, but that is just ridiculous.
You had the opportunity to get Lidle, but you allowed the Yankees to steal him. You could have gone after Abreu as well, but you chose not to. Instead you would rather stick with Beckett and Wily Mo. Granted he just scored for you, but it's a bit of "too little, too late." I'm so tired of the crying. No matter what the Yankees are hated by everyone. I guess you just have to accept being the best, and all that comes with it.
With all this talk about bullpen overuse I was curious to see what the record for IP by a reliever was and I came across this: Pretty amazing.
Will Mo be warming up when we come back from comercial? I am going with "Of Course" as my final answer.
Yeah, cheat on his wife. Now please excuse yourself. I left your thread, now leave ours. At least other Mets fans have productive things to say.
He has spent his life working on a technique that will preserve pitchers arms, he has a camp in Tampa. http://www.drmikemarshall.com/
