This could be the series that makes the rest of the way glide. If they can carry this momentum through the rest of the year into the playoffs, we have the best chance to win it all in many years.

We really robbed that one. Jeter and Giambi MVPs for this game. Honerable mention for Cabrera and Rivera.

Damn. Amazing that when A-Rod is Slumping it's the opening for 6 mins in.

The Yankees comeback in the 9th and continue the pwn3a9e and the Go w/ Tiger's win.

Boston was basically dead before tonight, this was just the final nail in the coffin. They have no chance of getting to the playoffs this year. They're just not that good.

And please, let Giambi play 1B more. He is such a different hitter when he DH's, it doesn't matter how bad he is defensively, he is an above average hitter when he DH's, and top 5 in all of baseball at the very least when he plays 1B.

    Giambi career at DH: .252 / .393 / .475
    Giambi career at 1B: .312 / .432 / .576

    Giambi 2006 at DH: .234 / .382 / .579
    Giambi 2006 at 1B: .291 / .456 / .628

You always pull out that "Yankee obsession" huh?

Yet again, you're picking a fight with a Mets fan.

AND YES, yet again I call you on it because thats all you seem to do.

Because Met fans do have an obsession with the Yankees, you guys constantly talk about us no matter what. U can be 3 games ahead, 60 games ahead, 60 games behind they will continually worry about the Yankees and continually talk about them. After a big Met win they talk about the Yanks, after a big Met loss they talk about the Yanks. Its amazing lol. Half of the calls oN WFAN from Mets fans are to bash/put down the Yankees. All in All IMO Mets fans are too overly concerned about the Yankees, considering
    A) were not in the same division
    B) were not in the same league

Sorry RT, but your comment towards FTC wasn't neccessary. He was just joking around with his comment. It's not like FTC was trolling this thread, he was just enjoying a baseball game, that's all.

    It's over, everyone move on.

That lineup seems somehow...weak. Fasano has to play. Posada needs the day off, but it weakens us quite a bit. If ARod is in, and Jeter is out, maybe Joe should let him play SS. Put Green back at 3rd. Maybe the start at short could get his D back on track. I don't know what else Joe can do for him, except an extended stay on the bench. I've been on his side all along, but even my patience is waning with him at this point.

Edit: Interesting that Pavano may be back. I really didn't expect to see him at all this year. Roster expansions are really going to help us out this year. We can get the pitching some well deserved rest.
