Bruney has been a huge dissapointment this year. Nice over the shoulder snag by Cano for the 2nd out.

I disagree with going to Mo there. Not necessary, and overly conservative. Let Bruney try to get out of it. It's not like it was a one or two run game.

Awesome, Michael Dunn getting a callup tomorrow. Watch out for this dude, 93-95 with a tight slider and serviceable changeup. Melancon is coming back up too. Looks like we're in cruise control boys.

    Another classic Cashman deadline deal.

BALTIMORE -- The New York Yankees have acquired minor league outfielder Freddy Guzman from the Baltimore Orioles.

In exchange for Guzman, who will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the Orioles will receive a player to be named or cash.

Guzman played 95 games for Triple-A Tacoma, Pawtucket and Norfolk this season. He batted .218 with two homers, 16 RBI and 38 stolen bases.

He has appeared in the majors for San Diego in 2004 and Texas in 2006 and 2007, hitting .213 with a home run and six RBI.

From looking at his very mediocre numbers, I can assume the only reason Cashman pulled this deal off was to give us more speed on the bases in the playoffs.

Maybe they need a fill in at Scranton after they bring Duncan up today.

Cut the guy a break, he's been great off the bench since they picked him up. And he's only played about 50 games at 3B in his career, and he made a superb barehand play to preserve the perfect game he blew in the first place.

Kay is essentially a harmless idiot. Sterling actively tries to ruin the game with his inaccuracies and retarded catch phrases. I'll grant him special calls for A-Rod or Tex, but "Aaron Guile...with a smile!" Nobody fucking cares you fucking idiot. And nothing's more annoying than hearing Sterling wind up his "it is high, it is far, it is...caught" then watching sportscenter the next day to see it was a popup that didn't even reach the track.

I disagree. Sterling is a harmless idiot because his influence is limited to play by play analysis on the radio. Kay, on the other hand, dominates the airwaves from 2-6 PM on a nationally syndicated show with his aggressive, wrong and ignorant view points. It's a downright crime how the man is allowed to discuss topics outside of baseball ( allowing him to discuss baseball is already too much responsibility to give to a mouth-breathing neanderthal). To call him the sports Rush Limbaugh is not much of a stretch..

Waldman keeps saying the Orioles shouldn't "give up the ghost", whatever that means.

    2-1 Yankees in the third.

    homers for Cano and Pie

Posada homers, and Sterling says he's safe at home plate.

Lot of home runs this series.

Burnett needs to find whatever he lost.

On the other hand, the Yanks knew what they were getting to a degree. He's always been inconsistent. Hopefully, he'll get hot again at the right time.
