Yeah, but they're not going to call up Hughes this early if they have other options available. It would be quite shocking if Hughes is up ahead of Clippard to replace Mussina..
Oh well. We still take 2 out of 3 against a good team, regroup tomorrow and then take it to Oakland for the weekend.
oh wow. a yankees suck chant. right after their team got murdered 2 games in a row. these are the type of people you see in the movie fargo
on gamecast, it showed the ball arod hit going over the fence and i just broke out...had no idea it was a ground rule double...that works too
I'd love it if Moose does not go on the DL, but I'm pretty sure 10P is right. Clippard will be the guy who gets the call if someone does. Hughes is going to be the most babied guy of this generation, and with good reason. I don't want to see him until he is fully ready. There's no reason to waste him just to fill in for a few games. It was such a freak injury. I watched the replays, but there was no clear indication of where it happened. I actually switched to LOST so I didn't get to see the end of the game. Did they say anything further about Moose?
He was just hired this year, so I'd say he's definitely on the hot seat. The players were saying in Spring Training that he had some new weird stretching technique that the team wasn't used to. He'll probably be fired if things don't change.
