yes I saw what happened. It is baseball, mistakes happen. I would still rather be up 3 runs in the 9th than the alternative.

The Yankees show some guts may have saved Joe's job for a couple days. If they win tomorrow and take 2 out of 3 from boston. Joe's going no where

    I really hope not.

And I am really going to have a hard time looking at all those sig banners for the forseeable future.

Why Derek? He's one of the only 3 players actually worth a dime on this team.

That was a sloppy win for the Mets. But a win's a win.

At the end of the day I cant be too mad. My team fought back. If Rasner doesnt go down in the first we have a great shot at winning this one.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be so much more fun with some cheap shots?

    I'll go ahead...YANKEES SUCK

have fun with your gigantic payroll and lack of heart. How many times have I been forced to hear Yankees fans spew their arrogance and have no comeback. But, oh, how things have changed. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that the Mets are a better team than the Yankees, healthy or not.

After a while all spendthrifts find their demise. Karma is a bitch...Giving a known cheater like Giambi a huge contract and throwing an obscene amount of money at a flash in the pan like Pavano will eventually come back to bite you in the ass. Is Cashman a good judge of talent? sure, but is he wise with his money? no

    LET's GO METS!

    TIME FOR THE SWEEP!

Even when we try to give a game away the Suckess can't win.

My Mets MVP of the game is Robinson Cano. He really did his part to help the Mets win.

John Maine tomorrow. 5-1, 2.15 ERA Good luck with that.

If this season is lost,we've had our time in the sun,and then some. While it's obvious that SOME Met fans are more obnoxious but don't realize it,you've had to deal with the Yankees winning a lot and maybe it's the Mets turn. I still think the Yankees have a great team on paper, they are just not performing. They will come back but i hope they are not too far behind to compete when they do. The Mets have an impressive team as they have had in recent years. Good for you guys. But if you're gonna handle a series in may in that fasion, just make sure you win in October or i'll be right here to shove up your ass.

It was a matter of time before all the pent up frustration by Mets fans came out. Dont hate me for calling it like it is. Good day of baseball for Yanks fan = Yanks win. Good day of baseball for a Mets fan = Yanks lose first, secondary a Mets win. Call me crazy but I still think we are going to make the playoffs (wild card at this point). Look at the twins last year. They came from nowhere last year down double digits to make the postseason.

Seriously, this is exactly what I've been talking about forever. There's no reason for Mets fans to not be happy, celebrate, and even rub it in a bit. As long as the cheap shot one-liners, and comments about guys' sexuality are not part of the conversation, then it's all in good fun.

Even what dave and carl posted is good clean stuff. Sure, as a Yankees fan, it hurts, but no more than it would if the shoe was on the other foot to you guys.

Ah well, it'll be nice to see two young pitchers go at it tomorrow. I just hope Clippard can get a good game under his belt up here. We can be pretty sure he won't get much in the way of run support. It's going to be tough to watch this dismal lineup face Maine. If it weren't for Jeter and Posada, and to a lesser degree ARod, I'd fear a perfect game tomorrow.

Like I said earlier, good luck the rest of the way Mets fans.

Were not getting shutdown by John Maine tomorrow. He's good but he's not all world. HE has been above average his last two starts. The bats did show some life today.

Oh it's not unrealistic to think the Yankees are still in this. Hell, in all reality, there's still 16 games left against the Sox, so they could still win the division. However, unless they can get some fire lit under their asses, this race is going to finish with us on the outside looking in.

Maine hasn't been good the last few times out, he's been walking a ton of guys all year and hes not a lefty. I'm glad the Mets got the first two under their belts because I don't have a great feeling about tomorrow. You also never know what you're going to get with a starter the batters haven't seen before.
