Maybe Pettitte should be DH in the 4 slot from now on. He couldn't be any worse than the guy that's usually in the 4 slot. A new pitcher the Yankees can hit! What's up with that?
As I linked to in the Yanks/Nats thread, the Yankees are 18-3 facing rookie starters for the first time over the past 2 seasons. Tonight they beat the tar out of another rook, yet fans will still bitch and whine about how they can't hit the rookies. Doesn't make a ton of sense to me.
Pet peeve: The stadium is not literally empty. If it were literally empty, there would be no one in it. It is practically empty, though. It makes my head want to explode... literally.
Angst about my team's weaknesses and poor post-season prospects literally makes me want to jump off a cliff.
that inning from Burnett is what we all envisioned (hoped for) when he signed that contract. 9 pitches, 9 strikes, 3 strike outs
The "perfect inning" is one of the rarer events in baseball. There have only been 13 instances in AL play, and 29 instances in NL play. Link
