damn, I wanted to replace my sig... but we've been winning series since I've had it. So I doubled up!
Prior to this last Glaus shot, he was doing well...4 walks is bad, but 5 strikeouts to go with it and only a 2-run shot in 4 innings. Not good, but not bad. Now Glaus owns Igawa again...4-3, warm up the pen.
igawa's april starts were all between 92-99 pitches. today was the first time he's gone over 100 pitches. I just checked. he's at 111 now
no, he's been pretty bad. it's the 5th inning, and he's very fortunate only 3 runs have scored. lot of runners left on and a few absolute shots that got caught
igawa gets out of the 5th, but that's gonna be it. 5 innings, 115 pitches, 7 hits (2 glaus bombs), 4 walks, 3 runs allowed
Why do you not mention the 7 strikeouts? Just wondering... Anyway, a decent start...Way way too many pitches and hits and walks...But surrendered 3 earned to go with 7 K's...The HR ball has been bad for Kei this entire season... Good start? No. Bad Start? No. He has to improve with Karstens and Hughes looming in the minors...
does it really matter? it just meant his pitch count was higher. he kept leaving the ball over the middle of the plate. doesn't matter if he strikes out 15. it's all the baserunners he allowed and the hard hits. he's been pretty bad this season, and tonight was no different.
yeah, for people who are obsessed with K numbers. But if you strike out 15 and walk 8 guys to go with 7 more hits, you're hurting your team. I was saying that even if every out he recorded was a strikeout, it was still a poor performance.
I get that, I am saying I disagree... if you strike out everyone that doesnt get on base...no one is advancing sac bunts, flys, or ground balls to the opposite side of the IF
Of course it matters, he got people out on strikeouts... Of course he's been bad this season...Tonight he was just decent, but that's not going to cut it making that amount of money, especially, again, with Karstens and Hughes on their way...
