Let's say we DO win the division.

You want to play the Angels? Because that's exactly what would happen. Start making other plans for rounds after the first in that case.

I'm fine with winning the wild card.

Yes, I do. I just edited my previous post. They have lost 3 in a row. Do you want to face Sabathia twice on normal rest who we haven't seen in two years? Some on our starting roster have never faced him in their lives.

For the record, I have no problem with any team celebrating as much as they want. Making the playoffs in baseball is a real achievement, unlike other leagues where half the teams make it. I know I'd go crazy.

Also, Moose is pitching another great game!

However, Boston is up 3-0 on the 6th, come on Twins!!!

So, for everybody that wanted Cleveland we got them. Not sure why but that's what they are saying. Must be the tiebreakers. So we get Sabathia and Carmona twice. If I were Torre I would play every game like it's game 7 of the world series because losing one or two of them only gets those guys a second time.

I didn't mind detroit at all b/c they were a huge surprise to make the playoffs and nobody gave them a chance to beat us plus they ahdn't been in the playoffs since 1987. They deserved to go nuts, teams that make it all the ime and knew they were in for months shouldn't be celebrating like they won the WS.

Looking ahead, in a close game I don't want to see anybody pitching relief in the post season other then Ohlendorf, Farnsworth, Ramirez, Chamberlain and Rivera and not in any particular order. The first three for no more then 2 or 3 batters each. Rivera will stay the closer even though Chamberlain at least should be considered especially after last night and especially in a one run game.
