I linked to it, yeah. I was saying the online lineup didn't agree with what they said on the broadcast.

Melky over Swisher this season? Really? I strongly disagree.

Anyway, it sounds like the game could start around 8 PM.

TVAnts is amazing. I watched all the Sox games early in the year when I had class during the games, as well as a ton of Flyer games. I highly recommend it if you live outside of your team's market.

Yeah I use TVAnts often because a lot of baseball streams are run through that program.

Apparently Nady could miss part or all of next season as well.

If I could remember where I posted it, I'd point you back to where I showed how Swisher's really nice overall OPS covered up the fact that he's absolute shit with RISP this year.

He's nowhere near the best hitter on the team.

I adore Ramiro Pena. I give a lot of credit to Girardi and Cashman for making the right decision to not send him back and dump Berroa's useless ass when they brought back Ransom.

And you should know by now that it's really hard to rate/rank hitters based on selective, situational stats like that. Not only are you limiting the number of at-bats you're drawing from, but you're assuming that these are controllable skills and not just variance.

ETA: By the way, I didn't say he was the best hitter on the team. I said he was the THIRD best hitter on the team. And even if you want to bitch about his OPS with RISP and say he should be lower, the initial complaint was about Swisher being the every day right fielder. The other choices were Nady, Melky, and Gardner. Swisher is still a far, far better hitter than a healthy Nady, and given the way Melky's been swinging the bat since he hurt his shoulder, it's still not even close about who should be in there.

Hahaha, Cappy still finds an excuse for Swisher. Awesome!

Anyway, I'll give you that he's probably a better offensive option than Nady, but Nady is a better fielder, so if you factor in Swisher's retardation, it's not hard to see why there are people who wanted him back to replace Swisher.

Is Swisher better than Melky? I don't know about that. Melky definitely hasn't been the same since getting hurt, but that's another mark against Girardi/Cashman because Melky should have been put on the DL a while ago already. Of course, that would allow Melky to come back strong and embarrass that Little Leaguer Gardner again, and Girardi can't have that.

But getting back to the topic, Swisher is not the third best hitter on the team. I'd have Teixeira, Damon, Cano, and possibly Posada, Jeter, and Matsui in front of him.
