I just turned this game on to see a squeeze play at home work.

    For San Fran.

    This year is over.

Flaherty (regarding the Giants stealing): "I wonder if they're picking up on signs between Moose and Nieves?"

No John. They've picked up that one throws a changeup as his fastball, and the other is a shitty catcher.

I could steal on these two.

Just when I thought things were back on track, the team goes crazy.

And against the Orioles who are bringing their top 3 guys to the mound.

    Hopefully the lineup will be:

    Damon
    Jeter
    Abreu
    Rodriguez
    Posada
    Matsui
    Cano
    Cabrera
    Cairo

Make Rivera start all 3 games and put him 4th in the order then when he's done pitching make him play SS and bench Jeter.

I don't think that we'll see Damon DHing, because Joe wants to see if he gets better by Tuesday so that if/when he puts him on the 15 day DL, he can have it starting last week.

Someone else needs to make the next thread now

    And in third place.

I don't understand the 2007 Yankees just yet, but I'm still confident there will be some kind of race heading into September. Hopeful of it, in fact. The last thing I want to be doing is competing with the Toronto Blue Jays. How the Yanks come out of the All-Star break will tell us a lot. How the Red Sox come out of it might tell just as much.

This seaosn is reminding me more and more of 1995. Just like in '95 every time they started playing well you thought it was going to last, that they were finally back but then they start losing streaks again. It's incrediby frustrating. I can take the sweep in Denver b/c the Rockie were hot and played great against us but SF was playing awful baseball and didn't play well this weekend yet they got 2 wins.
