Sit and watch a game like that and the Yanks just found every way to be shitty.

I can't believe it. Bases loaded and Matsui strikes out on 3 pitches? Then Cano with a grounder?

    What a load of garbage.

    Johnny Sack actually...

Either way i'm overly disappointed at how this team is playing.

Johnny Sack was a great character and that is the bottom line.

I can't take Matsui anymore. His swing is disgusting. Watch. His hips open up like a can of tuna whenever he takes a swing.

That was a tough loss. The game never should have been close enough or the pen toblow it int he 7th then we got great relief pitching from the 8th on and still had opportunities to win and we couldn't do it. bases Loaded 1 out an 2 good hitters up and you can't even hit a fly ball? Unbelievable loss. All the momentum we gained from the great streak is out the window.

I know you won't agree but we would have never gotten in that position if Torre didn't mismanage the bullpen again. There is no way Proctor should have gone 3 innings even though it was mediocre hits that won it. To see Clemens warming up was crazy. He didn't even seem to know what he was suppose to do and we end up with Rivera still on the bench as we lose the game.

Yeah. His occasional great RBI days aren't making up for what he's costing us on a regular basis. The problem is, he will not come out of the lineup without a significant injury. He's George's source of Japanese revenue. His defense is atrocious, (save for one "great" play a week, which wouldn't even be great if he were a decent fielder,) and his hitting is piss poor on a regular basis.

I've been calling for him to be a DH, but even that I'm starting to question. This team has grown old really quick. We need a serious youth infusion. It's time for Thompson in left. I'm still undecided on Phillips at first. Who can DH when we come back to the AL though? Matsui and Damon need to go the same route as Giambi, out the door. Who would have thought of all the aged players on this team last year, Gary Sheffield would be the one showing the least effect of age?

You can't blame Torre's bullpen management for that game. Not at all.

We left 16 runners on base. We had 17 hits, and 5 runs to show for it. Hell, if not for ARod, the game would have been over much sooner. There is no offense on this team, not consistently. ARod, Posada, Jeter. That's our source of reliability. One third of the lineup shows up prepared to hit the ball every day.

If the offense doesn't get it together immediately we're sunk. Our pitching and coaching will have nothing to do with it.

We had no one else to pitch, of course Proctor shouldn't go 3 inning sbut he didn't have a choice. The pen failed us in the 7th and the bats failed us the rest of the games w/ RISP.

See, that's the problem. We're expecting far too much from an overtaxed bullpen. Still, they get the job done pretty well overall. If this team scored even half the runs they should, they'd be at least 10 games over .500 right now.

Instead, we waste starts by Pettitte, Clemens, and Wang. It's unacceptable.

How do we "fix" it though? It's not like it's technically "broken," it just doesn't work.

But at the same time there were Plenty of Chances to steal, hit & Run and sacrifice and Joe just does nothing.

A-rod took off once probably on his own.

Joe is waaaaay to conservative but I can guarantee this, When Rocket pitches he'll all of a sudden start playing to win again

See, I can't put it on Joe this time. The lack of hit and runs probably has to do with things like Jeter repeatedly getting caught off base lately. If your "smartest" base runner is struggling, you can't very well just be sending guys.

The one time yesterday that Joe put on a hit and run, Jeter made ball four into strike three, and it was only a terrible throw that prevented it from being a strike 'em out-throw 'em out double play on Melky.

Yes, Joe does play too conservative for my taste quite often, but right now, you can't sacrifice base runners when guys aren't making contact. As much as I don't like conservatism, I'd rather err on the side of keeping guys on base than risking them on bone headed base running plays.

Everyone knows how critical of Torre I can be. Hell, MM even said he ignores me because of it. The fact is, Joe can't be blamed for everything, and as I've said, I won't point the finger at him when I don't feel he is to blame.

Right now, our garbage overpaid lineup is the problem. Guys like Matsui and Cano who swing with their eyes at the crowd are killing us.

I can actually agree with that if I look at it that way but at the same time sometimes you have to take chances to get things going because AORN some guys need a push, namely those who you've named.

7-8-9-1 of our lineup is producing absolutely nothing, I mean ZIP. It's time for Joe to shake things up, try something new.

I can pull back a little of blaming Joe but IMO Sitting back and Hoping your guys do something is NOT managing.

Jesus Nieves! You catch the ball first, then make the tag!

With that said, he probably would've been safe anyway

i give up. this team is fucking worthless. Youth is the key to winning and these assholes insist on having people like Mike Mussina and his 63mph fastball etc. Keep hanging out at the strip clubs Yankees,if you don't give a shit neither should I. Whatever garbage ball club is having a long losing streak,,they must jump for joy when they see the traveling cooperstown circus on their schedule.

No GYC this year Yisman, you have to be on top for that to occur.
