Yeah they have an 11 game lead, they really backed in

  4. Did you expect differently? If we had won this game he would've cited the red sox late season injury bug or the Yanks payroll. Some things never change.

He's definitely too concerned with his image on his own. But every single thing he does is over-analyzed. Analyzing him on the field is different, when people start analyzing the way his teammate responds in a spontaneous moment during a division title celebration... I think it's a little too much.

I like Joe, too. He seems like a really great guy. It's just too bad he's not a good in-game manager.

Now it's time to get serious and get Mariano back in top form in time forthe ALDS...

I hope this all is worth it.

P.S. I'm terrified by the idea of Melky not being a starter come playoff time. We have a better chance with him.

He's just a closet Yankee fan anyway. Probably has posters of Derek Jeter (2006 AL MVP and 4 time World Series champion) in his room.

Surely you don't think Melky is a better hitter than Sheffield.

An OF of Matsui-Damon-Abreu is good. It's hard to put Melky anywhere right now, but his bat is nowhere near Sheffy.

The reason we've lost in the playoffs the last few years is preceisely because we've had too many players like Sheffield on the team. I'm just hoping that Damon and Cano is enough to balance all of that out.

Speak for yourself man. I want Sheff's bat in the lineup. Obviously, we don't want to see his defense. He should see time at DH.

It's just extremely tough to put a guy who has no post-season experience in a big spot compared to a great hitter. Not just a power-hitter, but a great hitter, hits for singles, doubles, whatever it is...

We all like Melky, but him and Bernie are going to have to take a seat, despite the good numbers they had this year.
