    :)

Yankees lost 6-5, or are they currently losing?

Just came here to post that. The guy loves attention.

I was thinking about it though. It was a Pettite start, so maybe that's why he was there.

But yeah, he is a total attention whore.

So Andy pitched pretty nicely tonight. 49 pitches, but a lot of strikes. Mo looked good too. Did you see the splitter/curve he threw? Imagine Mo with more pitches, especially off-speed. WoW.

Rasner looked okay as well. I like the pitching so far.

OMG, as I was writing this, Rocket went up into the broadcast booth. LoL.

I tuned out after I was done with dinner. When I was watching Pettitte wasn't that point. At the 30 pitch mark, he had 15 strikes and 15 balls.

What did Rocket say in the booth?

Yeah, he wound up with like 7 pitches to one guy in his last inning. Only because the guy was fouling off pitches over and over. Not a bad outing for #2 of the spring.

Clemens said "Blah blah, I'm working out every day, blah blah, my body is old and I don't want to come back, blah blah, I'm having fun throwing batting practice, blah blah blah." In other words, the same old story from him.

    Mo

Mo was saying he may work the knuckler in this Spring Training...cutter followed by the knuckler wouldn't be a bad thing...

He can't be serious about the knuckleball. I read that he mentioned it last week, but I didn't believe it for a second.

I read somewhere that he could be developing a changeup...I would love for him to have that pitch in his repertoire.

I've been saying for years that if Mo had a change he would be absolutely unhittable. A knuckleball is probably just a joke. Even the split/change got a laugh out of Jeter and Guidry last night, so that might not even be a serious pitch. It's not like the cutter and fastball aren't enough for him anyway. It's amazing how hitters can know what's coming so often and still be unable to make contact.

Oh no, there's only 5 or less left! I had better get out my credit card!

Oh wait, I wouldn't pay $20 for this.

I love the Yankees, but come on, this is ludicrous. If this was post-World Series title, then MAYBE I would consider this, if I were a true collector. But you can pay $2300 for this, and they could miss the playoffs altogether. Then what? You just bought Amazon at $300/share...

Tabata hit a sweet opposite field HR today. Like every scout will tell you, the guy looks incredibly like Manny at the plate. He's going to be the long term RFer, and a very good player... let's pray he can take that next step and not only look like Manny at the plate, but produce like him as well.

This will be his first year in Tampa. Sept. 2008 call up at the earliest.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Not a big deal since Abreu is here for the immediate future anyway, but definitely something to look forward to. How's his arm? I haven't had the chance to see him defensively yet.

Pavano starts vs the Sox tonight. That is if he doesn't get a hangnail to sideline him for 6 months first
