He came with receipts and details, too. Seeing a division rival having major contract problems with an in-his-prime star warms my heart.
Signs a contract a year and a half ago then claims he didn't really know enough about what he was signing to make the right decision. Welcome to the real world, Mr. Howard. He's the sixth highest paid corner in the NFL. He's paid like one of the best. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
I hope he fired his agent for letting him sign a contract he didn’t understand. And if you’re worried about outplaying your contract just sign 1 year deals for now on.
His average yearly salary is 15 million a year. This is when i stopped caring. He is 28 with 4 years left on his contract. He will never get another big dollar deal. 28 is getting old for a CB. He should just hope that he can collect on as many of the remaining 4 years as possible.
Franchise CB's don't exist. For some reason the Fins think they have two of them and paid one causing enormous difficulties to erupt with the other. Rule #1 in mega-contracts: the locker room is watching and unless the mega-contract is for Aaron Rodgers it is going to cause you to lose more games than you ought to down the road. Even Aaron Rodgers mega-contracts have hurt the Packers but the organization is very good top to bottom so they have minimized the damage. I don't expect the Chiefs will get that lucky with Mahomes.
