Do you Clausen is a better QB prospect than Mark Sanchez was? Honestly, if Sanchez stayed 1 more year at USC he may very well have been the 1st or
2nd overall pick for sure this year. Clausen would be the next QB taken (unless the Redskins picked Bradford and Clausen was still on the board) and then Bradford.

Honestly, if a team drafted McCoy ahead of Clausen the GM should just take his pink slip right there and now. McCoy won't amount to anything at the NFL level

I have no problem discussing the reasons where I project a player. I don't have all the answers, but what I add to this forum is something I've studied. I don't spew info without backing it up!!

You have come on this site with an.. I know it all attitude.

I guess it's how you say it..not what you're saying.

I willing to put it behind us, I didn't mean to offend you....I enjoy new people on this site. I just don't want the draft forum to become a mindless, senseless forum with a bunch of garbage content.

I've studied the WRs available and I really like Demaryius Thomas. Thomas has excellent size and leaping ability. Uses his body very well to get to the ball. Average speed for a guy his size.

I do have some concerns. Thomas only really had one very good year. Thomas played in Johnson's triple option with Nesbitt, something that has hurt his draft stock. Thomas could have been a solid Rd 1 player if he attended another school, similar to Benn. The System hurt Thomas. I don't like Thomas's route running and he has dropped some very catchable balls.

Thomas stock is lower due the productivity of the 5 other WRs ahead of him.

I project Thomas to be a Mid to late rd 2 player...not too bad.

Do you think Thomas has as much upside as any receiver in the draft? A lot of people say that being in the option offense hurt his draft stock, and it has, but it also turned him into the best blocking WR in the draft. This could help a team that is run-heavy. I don't think he'll be a contributor right away but once he learns to run better routes, he could be a big time threat. What is average speed for his size? 4.50? He's torched a lot of ACC DBs over his career so I think he plays faster than he'll time.

Jesus, stop acting like you know what you're talking about. You've made it clear to everyone that you don't.

Have you ever been to the draft forum? Posters like WW85, Green Hurricane, and I have spent years watching these prospects play.

It's funny that you're telling the most respected posters in this forum to "take another look"...

What you're doing is retardedly disrespectful, and it's got to stop.

Take a day off from whatever it is you do, and read as much as you can in this forum...you still won't even come close to knowing what we know.

I think he could have a good upside.

But you answered your own original question. (Bold Quote) That's why I have Thomas rated #6!

Thomas is probably going to run 4.5 -4.6 at best....average for a 6'3" 225lb WR.

If Mark Sanchez stayed another year, then he would be my top QB in this class, but not by much. I was one of the few guys that was incredibly high on Mark Sanchez before the Jets even picked him.

Jimmy Clausen if further along in his development as a passer, and he'd have more starting experience. I think Clausen has a stronger arm, but is less accurate.

I have a bad feeling the Bills are going to get Clausen, and we're going to have some awesome battles against them for the next decade.

True, as much as it would suck to have Clausen be in our division the rivalry would increase.

I'm still not sure about Claussen. I'm a big Notre Dame guy and really wanted to like him all 4 years but there was always something about him. I think sometimes if you see a guy often enough you can actually become biased against them because you judge them too critically, but I'm not sold on whether he has the demeanor of a successful NFL QB.

He has the same demeanor as someone like Phillip Rivers and he is one of the best QB's in the NFL

Yes and no. It's not something I can point too as if it's something on film or a specific instance, just a vibe I got from him. It could be me getting extra aggravated when something bad happened to Notre Dame (as it seemed to happen all too often the last few years), I just wonder how it translates to the NFL.

I think a lot of it depends on what team he goes too. Remember Rivers was behind Drew Brees for 2 years and had a chance to learn from a classy guy and was on a veteran laden team. I wonder how some of the more negative antics of Rivers would've been handled had he been throwing to a guy like T.O, which possible for Claussen.

Thank you for responding so timely. One last point...if Thomas was in a passing system and had good production, wouldn't he be drawing a lot of comparisons to Braylon? He also ran a 4.5-4.6 as a prospect and they have similar skill sets. I see Thomas putting it all together in a few years and will eventually become a player like Braylon. Thomas loves the game and wants to continue learning. He also didn't complain much at GT which shows he's not much of a diva (at least not yet...you never know what will happen in the pros). Do you think the comparisons to Edwards are fair (minus college production)?

    You know what's funny?

    People question River's, Cutler's, Clausen's demeanor.

Marino, Peyton M, Johnny Unitas & Bart Starr.....are and were all pricks...the only difference , they're winners.

    Winning takes care of everything!!

For one, he's a douche bag. He was supposed to be the savior of Notre Dame football, and I'm sure you know this, but the entire team needed work, not just the QB spot. At takes a certain type of arrogance to play that position, and Clausen has it.

I really wish Charlie Weis was given one more year at Notre Dame, so Clausen stayed for his senior season (maybe Tate too). That team may have been a BCS buster.

I agree 100%. And while there were certainly other reasons, Clausen's record at Notre Dame his last 2 years was .500. I like that he got better each year, and maybe he would've stayed and had an outstanding senior season. I just am not as sold on him as some others.

I updated my Top 50...just before the Combine. I will update next week after the festivities in Indy are complete.

Demaryius Thomas is out of my top 50..broken foot.

    Jonathan Dwyer returns.

Donovan Warren was my biggest faller.....I see much more upside with Wilson and Cox, especially as special teams players. I was never a big Warren fan.

Trent Williams still can't crack my Top 50...so many "experts" thinks he's a Top 25 player..not me.

Notice...My Top OTs are in the 11-17 range all are very close, no superstar Tackle this year.
    ENJOY!!!

I know you and Mr. E both think Ryan Mathews is good, but to be 30th and 35th may be a bit over even his head.

Interesting that Charles Brown has by most accounts a solid combine but drops 15 to 32. Was it the 21 reps on the bench press or something else?

Bruce Campbell so high? McCourty ahead of Wilson?
