I'd love the Franklin pick, but I don't think he'd be a "feature" back but definitely a great weapon

I guess I just disagree. I see us beating those weak teams remaining on our schedule. Not saying we are a good team or anything, I just think we are able to beat up on worse teams than us like Jacksonville, Tennessee, Buffalo, etc. 8-8 was anywhere from the 13th to the 19th pick last year. It probably won't be as high as 13th this year, but I think 8-8 would get us to the 18-32 range where Gio Bernard would come into play. And you even said that you think the Jets might be 7-9 or 8-8. Lets get this clear, there is no way the Jets will be getting a top ten pick. We like to complain about how bad this team is, but compared to some of the other teams in the league, the Jets are just an overrated average NFL team.

I love the Warmack pick he is an absolute beast and we need to fix the OL

I like the Thomas pick also

But I would sub Montee Ball for Franklin everyone claims Ball is done but he has 1417 yards on 284 carries and 17 TD's for 5.0 YPC man I'll take that anyday.

I also like the potential of Horton a boom or bust pick overall a good mock!!!

I'm a Warmack fan. Its a solid safe pick. Happens to be need as well.
I like Thomas because he's versatile outside or inside. Plus he's smart and we need to raise the intelligence level on the team.
Franklin has been showing me a lot recently. However, I disagree with most everyone in the draft forum that we take a RB. We dont have the luxury. We have more pressing needs.
If we can get Eric Fisher in the 4th round, even the 3rd round, I'd give up sushi.
I like the last 3 picks as well.

**** We are at the point where we have to hit on all 7 rounds in the draft --- meaing everyone has to make the roster. 4 starters minimum.

Would anyone be complaining now if we "reached" for Doug Martin at 16 last year? How bout Bruce Irvin?

Our new GM needs to draft dynamic offensive talent no matter where all these so called experts perceive their value to be. If they believe Gio to be a stud RB you draft him.

    Hindsight is 20/20.

I really liked Doug Martin, but it was clear we weren't targeting a RB in Rd 1 last year.

I was looking at this again and saw fisher in the 4th?

He seems to be getting first round grades from a couple of sites, in the top 20 range. What is your take on him moving up that high WW?

I want a RB so bad. Someone who will produce and be a Jet for a long time.

    I think he's overrated in Rd 1.

It maybe wishful thinking on my part, but Fisher will probably be drafted in Rd 2 next April.

Not in love with Warmack even though he is an elite player. Everything else looks fantastic Jon Franklin has been a BEAST this year. I think some of your picks maybe wishful thinking but I wouldnt complain if we got all those guys

I think Fisher is probably the only one that is under-drafted.

I expect Franklin to go in Rd 3, they're so many good RBs in the rd 2/3 range.

Let the Jets hire a GM before you worry about the draft.

Te'o is an absolute beast an along with Jarvis Jones are tow of my favorite players in the draft, however I don't know if we draft high enough for either as I think we'll win at least 2 more games. Maybe that gets us into the top 10. Right now we're right around that 10 range with 5 games left. There are plenty of other 4-7 teams in the league to battle with.

I'm curious what you guys think of Khaseem Greene from Rutgers? The guy is all over the field on a very good defense. I'm thinking 2nd round pick but I could really see his stock rising.

Quite a few regulars have brought up Greene in other threads.

He's slightly undersized, but a heck of a player that makes plays.

Round 2 is a solid possibility.

I know he played safety as well... I also like Chase Thomas from Stanford as a possible OLB prospect and he seems like less of a tweener guy, as he didn't change positions.

I know you like Warmack but what you do think of Barrett Jones? He could play G for us but also serve as insurance in case Mangold went down. It owuld give Ducasse another year to develop but also give us a potential for Mangold's replacement a few years down the road.

Isn't it funny he's the same guy who plays GM with the Yankees all the time?

Jones can play OG/C, but Warmack is on another level, he might be the best OG to come out in the last 10 years. When Warmack locks on, it's over, his running blocking is incredible.

I'm a huge Thomas fan, very good in coverage and a relentless player.
