I totally agree, I think Hightower is going to be a special player.

But as I mentioned a few posts earlier, it's not what I want, it's what I think the Jets (Tanny) will do.

IMO, people that make good mock drafts don't listen to their heart, they think like the GM of that team.

On another site, no names, I mentioned this morning Tanny could trade up into Rd 1...ala Dustin Keller trade.

    DeCastro/ McClellin

Jones, Ingram or Upshaw/ Bobbie Massie (who could be a Rd 1 pick tonight)

Philadelphia has always loved Cox, this is nothing new. "Brotherly" love... yeah, right.

That I'd be very excited about that. Getting Upshaw and Massie with that trade down would be ideal for me.

If not, trading up in the second to get Jeffrey would be great.

If we don't draft Floyd in Rd 1, I think it's a stong possibility Jeffery or Sanu will be the pick at #47, one of them will be available. I'm leaning more to Sanu in Rd 2 for the Jets. I've heard the Jets have a lot of interest in the Rutger's WR.

Would you like/dislike drafting Chandler Jones?

Clearly a lot of NFL teams liked him before it got leaked to the media and now the media is running with the ball.

The Jets sent all the key people to work him out.

On paper there isn't much to dislike.

Great size, long arms, athletic enough, improved every year. He looks the part on tape (even if there isn't much tape due to injuries).

I guess the real question is are you taking a huge risk since he doesn't have the production in college that you would like to see.

He has the potential to be an elite 3 down pass rusher. Upshaw will be a very good NFL player, but he will always have a ceiling because he's not an elite athlete.

I would love to trade back and still get Jones or Upshaw and additional picks.

I will say though, I think Detroit is possibly the only realistic trade down partner at 16. I have a really hard time passing on an elite talent like Floyd ,would be surprised if he makes it to 16 though. Which would make the trade down much more desirabe in my eyes.

I agree with this. The Lions are going to be knocking on our door with DK still on the board. They do not want to lose out on a top tier corner.

I did a lions mock in another location... Detroit is desperate to get their hands on a CB early. They would prefer Gilmore, but they would be likely to move up once either DK or SG goes off the board.

I had this dream the other day Sanu was a Panther, extremely weird thing to dream about but that's what I saw.

I'd love for him to be a Jet, as you know, I've been hyping him up for awhile.

I think we'll see a big run on Wrs early rd 2, we will probably have to trade up in rd 2 to get a Jeffrey or Sanu. The ideal situation for me would be to trade down in 1st and trade up in 2nd. If we end up with LB in first and Jeffrey or Sanu in 2nd that is a big time win on paper at least.

I'm not in love with any of the DE/OLBs in our range around #16, they're OK, nothing special. IMO, the value of these so called "pass rushers", fall more in line around the Lion's pick #23.

If I was GM, and stay at #16, I'd draft Michael Floyd or David DeCastro, who's stock is falling on some boards, not based on talent, based on the guard position.

Trading down for additional picks and drafting Jones or McClellin would be want I think Tanny might do.

You may be right. I can see the Colts looking to get a toy for Luck, Rams need help badly, Vikings, Bucs, Browns, Jags and Panthers just to name a few. But with Jeffery, Sanu, Stephen Hill, AJ Jenkins, Randle, Kendall Wright all slated somewhere between our 1 and our 2 we may get lucky.

That is, if getting a WR early is even in the works. Still...Floyd, Jeffery, Sanu all have been linked so I think we may forego the Braylon solution.

It's exactly what I would do given the situation you presented.

With this WR class it would be a major failure on Tanny if don't get a WR prospect in the 1st 3 rds.

Hill is a 1st rounder for sure and probably 2 of Jeffrey, Wright, Randall, Sanu also go in 1st, hopefully only 1(Wright)

I like the idea of the Jets drafting Jones, but I doubt he gets out of the teens.

I think if someone picks him before their turn, they will trade back. IF Barron is still availiable at their slot, they stay at 16 and will choose him.

Yeah I think someone in the teens will take Jones. He has the potential to be the elite pass rusher from this draft class. Whether he reaches that potential is anyone's guess.

I'd be willing to bet Randle is the #3 WR selected in this draft, in the first round most likely.
