We are going to have like 12 picks this draft. Why not grab a young (non-diva) WR that can make plays? He would be the 2nd fastest WR on the team pretty much.
If we got him I'd be thrilled but those picks can bolster our oline, nab a WR, TE, OLB and safety. I'd rather if the Jets flat out signed a receiver in free agency.
The Jets don't need to trade for a WR for 2013. Maclins contract is up in 2014 and he's going to get paid well on his 2nd contract. Build through the draft and stop with the Tanny way. If we were superbowl contenters I'd consider trading for a receiver, but we're obviously not.
Braylon really helps our depth at WR so we don't have to count on Hill (not sure if he is really ready to contribute yet). Holmes, Braylon & Kerley isn't great but it isn't absolutely terrible either
Anyone know generally how many WRs play in Marty's Version of the WCO? Does he generally play a lot of 4 wide? I feel like the Feagles spread it out a lot like this last season, But i admittedly don't watch many of their games, and they have the talent for it. Bray - Holmes ------- Kerley - Hill ?? If Hill gets takes the next step ( with his work he should ) and Holmes gets healthy,. I'll take that lineup in a heart beat. That's basically 4 upgraded positions from the roster last year.
How many roster spots are we gonna use on WR? Holmes,Hill, and Kerely are locks, what other spots are left? i wouldn't imagine there being more than 6. I imagine some of the UDFA like Rodgers will wind up on the practice squad as well, how many are allowed for that?
