Wow, Kris Jenkins was a steal. Better than Haynesworth?

If the Jets sign IGOR OLSHANSKY, they could rotate their DEs and even slide Igor in when KJ came out....it solves all our DL problems!!!!!!! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME TANNY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Which is exactly the reason I'm glad LC is gone. With a malcontent like that in his ear constantly would not be a good idea. And even if he wasn't directly in his ear his antics always being the squeaky wheel over money sets a very bad precedent...

I agree the Jets got a great deal with Jenkins but if your team pays him 30 mil or 100 mil its all about what happens on the field. I would say that the big difference is the schemes they play and they are both great in the schemes they are in. The only thing I would say about Jenkins is that he faded toward the end of the year. Hopefully they can find a quality backup that can keep Jenk fresh all year. Gotta love Jenkins though b/c he may be the funniest guy in the league.

And how do you figure that whe Shefter reported yesterday that Haynesworth is guaranteed to collect 32 Mil by the end of 2010. I'm curious...????

Actually, he is getting a guaranteed 31 million in the next 13 months. That is what was reported. At least I think that's what ESPN was saying yesterday which must mean some March roster bonus.

Naw, its still AL Davis and the Raiders. Redskins a close second though.

Haynesworth is a better pass rusher.

Yeah--these are good points. I know more about KJ since I did research on his career looking for a history of back problems and found he is injured a lot--though not with back problems until last season. I "assumed" that Haynesworth was more durable and could be wrong.
It looks like we agree that the supporting cast around the player is important to the apparent stamina of the player. Hence, why we need a killer DE in my opinion, or at least a killer OLB who can play on the line. We need exactly what VG was supposed to be. Take care.

You can look at the money and say the Jenkins deal was a steal for us. However, this is a typical D. Snyder spending spree. He over pays for every free agent he signs. No way Haynesworth is worth that money. The guy is a great player, but not 100M great. Is Tanny that brilliant, or is Snyder just plain stupid? I choose the latter in this case.
