Wow, Jets move up in ESPN power rankings

    Not the greatest D of all time, yet. That one is tough to beat. The 2002 (I think it was that year) Ravens defense was pretty awesome and also there was a bear defense with Singletary that was very off-the-charts.

    I also meant to say one of the greatest. And I thought u meant one of the greatest D of all time in the NFL. My bad, I misread...

    The best defense is probably the 2000 Ravens. The 1985 Bears and 1975 Steelers are the other teams I think are in that completely elite category. This Jet's D looks like it might be in the next tier down, although once they get Pace back things could get very interesting.

    What will be even more interesting is to see this defense in year 2 when everyone knows it forwards and backwards (assuming we don't lose any key pieces).

    Agreed, maybe pickup another DL or OL, and we'll be set for a while.

    Lowery has impressed me too, he could very well start next year under the new regime.
