The Fitzmagic ride was fun but crashed and burned after we choked against the Bills week 17. After that point I knew that giving big money to a career journeyman QB would create problems.
I wouldn't bring Fitz back, even as a backup at the minimum, as its unlikely that we'll have a clear starter in front of him. After all the contract drama in the offseason, unless you clear out his supporters starting with Marshall, he can't be in the locker room. You can't have his cronies groaning and lobbying on his behalf at the first sign of a struggle for a young QB. Fitz doesn't seem to be the type to be the quiet, loyal backup.
