I already said I wouldn't trade for that contract. Under different circumstances I would. I also don't believe in coddling players. I'd do it to create competition at QB, improve the team's depth at QB, try to win football games. Perhaps with a capable NFL ironman like Cousins to compete with for his job Darnold would be more inclined to stay in the lineup.

Either way I think I’d be fine with trading a second round pick for Diggs and would absolutely trade a third. He’s under contract for a while but also has an out in 2021 I believe so it’s not a huge blow if he doesn’t work out. What’s more troubling to me is the fact that he’s missing meetings because he’s unhappy and the team he’s unhappy with is actually winning. We have Adam Gase and cant score a touchdown.
That a pretty ridiculous thing to say. Falk, is not the QB, Darnold is. Falk is a temporary fill in until Darnold is healthy.
No - don't trade picks for anyone - we are in a complete rebuild - and I mean complete - we are 2-3 years (minimum) of quality drafting and free agency from having a half decent team
given how this team drafts in rounds 2 and 3 I would say the odds against it are about 3-4 million to 1
Giving up draft capital for a WR that makes 17 mil a year and averages 700 yards a season sounds like typical Jets to me.
joe douglas should be a seller at the trade deadline. and trade down in the draft to get extra picks. need a lot more shots at the dart board in the draft to fix this mess. no wonder the raiders traded the left guard, hardly ever healthy. another Mac trade blunder. even low round draft picks can be mined, like the 6th round qb in j-ville. we all see how long term neglect of the o-line has destroyed this team. offense looks like a high school defense would give them problems.
The thing about that is Vikings want more than a 2nd and a 3rd for him. They want a 1st rounder and your team needs a hell of a lot more help than that. He won’t make any difference as your QB and O line are meh! Save the picks and get some good young talent. Also, you must let Gase go. He is awful, also an A hole personally. He is Miami’s leftover garbage. They let him go for a reason. Find a better leader and build up using your many draft picks.
Use the formula Beane and McDermott used in Buffalo. Gather a butt load of draft picks and build up using young talent. Look at that D now! It’s all young guys with a small amount of vets in there and they are really nasty. There Offense still sucks but that defense is crazy good. Take notice Jets. Build from draft picks using that same formula.
Trading for a 2nd and 3rd for a WR with huge contract and low performance, what a briliant idea. Btw, it'd be typical Jets. The focus should be on gaining draft capitals, not giving them up. Trade Leonard Williams ASAP and till he has any value.
