Wow. Thanks for your contribution to this thread. My calculator must be broken. Please share with me what it is. Glad Tanny's watching the cap and not you.

What? Dude, that's an easy one to do in your head, let alone use a calculator. It most certainly is 1.87.

Yeah, that's been posted countless times and people STILL ignore it. The chances of us signing him after July 22nd are slim to none.

The only caveat is that the Saints have to tender that amount June 1st, but he's free to sign with a non-F8P team until July 22nd. So, while we get cut off by the June 1st tender, it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a Saint.

I wasn't aware of that caveat, but still can't see them letting that slide. But, hopefully they do.

If Sharper was ready to take 1.87 mil a year, he would have done so long time ago. That's not a whole lot of money in need of a safety. And if Saints want him, they would have offered that money long time ago. They only reason Saints tender him $1,87mil would be to screw with the Jets. Almost every other team can sign him, of course besides the other three Conference finalists.

The Saints would tender him at 1.87 million, because they'd be thrilled to get him at that price......but they won't because he'll fetch more in Free Agency.
